Story by jaffestrength- It’s been about a year and a half since I posted one of these. When the world was put on pause it didn’t feel right to show athletes competing when comps were being canceled left and right. But now that we are seeing some normalcy, it’s time to showcase great performances again. Both @jess_sliv13 and @jennarose711 hit a huge milestone lifts last weekend. Both topping the 500lbs deadlift barrier. Something like a 50plus pound platform PR for both ladies. Here’s both of their 501lbs deadlifts.
jaffestrength Headed to Missouri today but first, let me teach (offend) people. Learn why some sit and anchor and others simply wedge into their conventional deadlifts. It’s about length and sometimes girth. Shout out to @eddycoan and @maximusgreen who I used as visuals here. dmitry.spiridonov- A year ago, China became a temporary member of the IPF. It is likely that they will become full members in 2022. In the meantime, there is time, the Chinese are gaining strength, experience and lifting decent weights in domestic competitions. A couple of days ago, junior 22 years old Wang Cheng @ wc791201103 took 250 kg without equipment. In the 120+ category. Highest bench press at IPF China so far.
Here is my 340kg from earlier this year done with belt only, my goal with more work and add a suit is to pull 372kg, this would beat the all time record over 50s and this won’t be easy. Enjoying the journey.

bilbo_swaggins181- It’s a Thriller to be starting deadlift prep with 385kgs/848lbs. What wasn’t thrilling was @that_hugeasian_guy hogging the spotlight. Bodyweight sitting at 93.9kgs/207lbs. Using @rpstrength diet app to make sure I look shredded for my sexy Halloween costume.

powerlifting dbrougher I am the most remedial client of @nptihouston ! It’s taken me something like two years to apply Dave’s coaching but damn I think I’ve got it! I got 250 tonight twice, first time on my own in the gym. And pretty good technique I think. It feels good to make progress and it’s great to be strong! Thank you, Dave!!
