squat_university- Do you jerk the bar off the ground when deadlifting? This quick pull off the ground can often place excessive force on the smaller structures of the spine and lead to back injury. The quick movement can also place excessive stress on the bicep tendon of the arm if using a mixed grip like the lifter here. .

calgarybarbell- My best lifts/third attempts from @theipf Worlds last weekend. 295/182.5/360 for an 837.5kg total, putting me in fourth place amongst the likes of @bryce_tsa, @garrettblessings, and @mr.deadlift himself. I also managed a silver in the deadlift. I want to offer a huge thank you to my support system along the way, @selenagaudet most of all. Thank you to @titanpower81 and @strongarmsport for standing with me and outfitting me with the best equipment available. ernielilliebridgejr- Grinder alert! Been getting to the gym pretty late, no matter what I still make it in to get the work done. I’m pretty fatigued by the time midnight rolls around and have 600+lbs on my back. I will never cut a squat high no matter how tired I am. I would rather be buried by the weight then cut a squat high to make the lift. If anyone else agrees with me leave me comment below #DepthBeforeDishonor

miss_amanda_ann- MEET RECAP I ended up going 5/9 (lol) with an unofficial AR/WR squat at 496lb/225kg, then a 501lb/227.5kg deadlift, and a 220lb/100kg bench. My total PR (by 25kg) was 552.5kg @ 83.3kg BW, calculating to a 494.76 Wilks PR (by 20 points)! Definitely not the biggest total that I could’ve put out, but pretty good given the circumstances of a car crash the night before, no sleep, and a last minute weight cut. ———————
