powerlifting Trevor Jaffe "Stability is the mother of strength" Stability is the mother of strength - @marilia_coutinho I may have butchered that statement but it holds true. The body has a unique way of protecting itself from damage. If it feels a joint has lost stability, it can inhibit certain musculature it feels is at risk. I'm not a clinician and I'm not diagnosing anyone here. I just feel that these movements can help everyone who lifts improve their hip stability and function. Hips don't lie! So save it, share it or tell me you hate me.

powerlifting powerlifting Meana Albersworth 380-413-424(depth) Beyond happy to finish squats with a 16lb all time PR and a 35lb PR at this body weight. Goal no.1 going into this meet was to PR my total at a lighter body weight, and thanks to @obbkingpin_elitefts, we did just that with a 1025lb total.

powerlifting Isabella von Weissenberg 192.5kg x6 @8 smooth like a baby butt.This was my first time using a deadlift bar. I liked it. I guess it would have been a PR with a stiff bar so that cool. (Belt under hoodie.) practicing for the @hybridperformancemethod deadlift showdown in Miami in a couple of weeks. ate a lot of yogurt just before pulling this so that felt a bit weird, other than that it was a good day to lift. Didn't feel like any particular hype was needed. Listened to Can't catch me by Avicii which is a pretty chill song. Bench was good and I hit a bodyweight dip-PR (25).

powerlifting amy_the_amazon Deadlifts showed up yesterday, thank god. 396#/429#/457# for a 5# PR. Ended up totaling 976# and winning my weight class. I think it’s probably pretty obvious what I have my sight set on for #battleofthebay ! It was a fantastically run meet with some solid, strong females. I have #noragrets . • •

powerlifting theipf An Open World Record at the ORPF Powerlifting Championships this past weekend, 305kg squat in the 83's by @nathan_tanis. @nathan_tanis takes the World Record Squat in the Open Mens 83kg Div with a squat of 305kg | 671lbs What a machine! Nathan went 9/9 with a total of 772.5 at 82.65kg. Amazing!

powerlifting mikeytwocakes Two lifetime best doubles tonight. Squatted 242.5kg(534lbs)x2 and Deadlifted 184kg(405lbs)x2. I saw Creed 2 this afternoon and that movie got me so pumped! I knew I’d have a good session,but not this good. Video #2 This is the first vid I’ve ever posted of doing Pistols (or Sorcerer Squats as @dunkmasterwill calls them). Started doing them with the Safety Squat bar after seeing @tonycreatura doing them in a vid he posted (I will not try doing them on a stability ball like he does though). I do 3 sets of 12 after doing Powercleans.

powerlifting Getting bigger and stronger happens at a fast rate when we first start training, but as time goes by, it significantly slows down. In my first year or two I could get away with eating crap and little sleep or skipping sessions, and still improve in some capacity almost every month. Until well, I didn’t. . It’s hard to pinpoint what the exact problem is when that happens, so I want to share with you some mistakes I’ve noticed in myself and people I’ve coached that prevent them from making progress in the gym. .

Mike Eaton- Pulling 805lbs for a single!

powerlifting bayne_sts Did 2”deficit deadlifts this morning 11/21 at 6am and worked up to a single with 805lbs after singles with 655lbs, 605lbs, and 515lbs. Not a lot of reps, just straight to it. Video #2 Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving today! Looking forward to spending time with family and relaxing. But first, got my deadlifts in this morning! Worked up to a single with 805lbs for second day in a row. Back was a little tight from deficit deadlifts yesterday but got it done anyway!
