ivweissenberg- Some from today: A single at 210kg (463lbs) and x5 at 185kg (407.8lbs) (PB!). Benefits of DL volume: u get stronk. Downside: grip hurts I still have a lot to work on in the sumo but my main focus is to not push the bar out and away from me, which I do a lot, and illustrate here with a dance that is pretty self explanatory. I can see small progress every week though, even on the top sets. It was a heavy day for dis little body, being my third session in a row, but I enjoy the feeling of finally being back in my ”work flow” after the Arnolds. Post meet weeks are psychologically difficult (for me) and accepting that and fine tuning my thinking accordingly has been an important thing to learn, even though I still struggle with it. Some might now what I’m talking about, but for you who don’t, rest assured I’m cooking up a longer text about the subject for later release. Personally I think it’s super interesting. Lifting just never ceases to teach me something about myself - one of the prime motivational factors why I’m in this game. Video #2 Casual single at 202.5kg /445.3lbs @8. AND AN ALL TIME PB. Joke aside though, NOT so casual. The attentive viewer will see that I am SHAKING before the lift begins But fact remains, speed was good and it felt easy. Most difficult thing today was admitting that the previous single at 200kg was actually RPE 7, because you know, it still feels a little cray cray to be moving these weights around.
