For the second time in three years Anthony Hobaica has taken the overall best lifter at the XPC Finals @ the Arnold Classic. Hobaica finished the day 7 for 9, squatting 770, benching 500, and only hitting his opening pull 650, for a total of 1920 at 180.4 body weight. Anthony was suffering from severe cramps throughout the meet. He had an opportunity to regain the all-time historic world record in the 181 class, but was unable to hit his second pull, 690. 1920 raises his total as #2 on that list. “First and foremost, I would like to thank my wife Eva- it’s not often your partner in life couples as your training partner. She controlled countless variables during this meet to make it such a success, I could not have done it without her! Second, our teammates Dallas and Courtney Norris. Dallas, a fellow elite middle weight, has been an instrumental part of my process in retooling my squat. Thank you both for the countless hours, camaraderie, and REAL friendship. Lastly, my sponsors, Anderson Powerlifting and Kabuki Strength. I am so grateful to be a part of such tremendous teams. Meet’s like this could not happen without your generosity and constant support. Thank you all!”
