I believe this is why many great Lifters weren't even nominated. Testosterone Nation took their comment section off of their site and put it on facebook. This allowed them to still have and manage their site while generating more views on FB. I think if Powerliftingwatch did the same thing people would start coming back here and we could have good discussions again. Lately their are only a few or less comments per topic and has made this site less interesting. One thing I would do different than Tnation is have a link to each topic. Over there when you go to comment you just go to their main FB page and you spend all day looking for the topic you want to comment on. That is a real pain in the ass and sometimes I didn't comment because I got tired of looking for it.

With Facebook and Instagram now so readily available for news, every powerlifting site has been effected.. people just post their own news and only come here for records and rankings. Even when we post news, lifters will talk about it on their facebook pages rather than on here! Its ok, its just the way of things. However, our new website will be up and running very soon with our facebook pages more involved in the site. Due to our records and rankings we're still doing well and still actually growing. Just in a different way then before.

Alright after looking into all this, there hasn't been any wrong doing. Just good promotion of a lifter. Voting ends on the 19th!

I had to do some research to find out who William Lee was, undoubtedly a great lifter (more accomplished than I ever will be), but to be voted second right now on this elite list is crazy to me. Maybee someone can enlighten me to what I am missing, but from what I read his lifetime best bench is 650 equipped @ 242, Jeremy Hoornstra beats that raw at same weight?! It also looks like he has been competing push / pull or bench only recently (with a 683 PB DL) , am I missing something here guys or is my information correct?

Looked up William Lee he's a decent bench presser from WABDL, but not world class or anything (pressing 630ish at -308 in single or multy ply) I don't know how he got on this list, I guess it was open to suggestions but the other 6 guys on this list have had huge accomplishments breaking multiple world records, not to mention it feels as though whoever added that guy has worked very hard to get him butt-loads of votes... I know how pools like this work so I guess that's still fair, but it just feels kinda wrong for this guy to beat out those other 6 who I feel are much more deserving based on their accomplishemts in 2016...

I felt bad for posting, because I never want to put down another lifter, and that was not my goal. But the guys on that list have accomplished some historical/ unbelievable feats this year, and that should not be overshadowed by someone campaigning their way to a victory. I can not see someone who truly loves this sport voting for that guy over these other great ambassadors of our sport.
