Conyers goes 1542 @ 148!

Tony Conyers competed at 148 on Saturday July 18th at the Raw United Senior Championships held in Port St Lucie, Florida. He set a new standard for the Men's Raw World Records (Open) with a 532lb squat, 380lb bench and 630 deadlift. The new record is now 1542 the previous record was 1482. In addition, Tony set 4 more Master world records by moving the squat from 507 to 532, bench 374 to 380 and the deadlift 606 to 630. The total moves from 1466 to 1542. I lifted with Tony way back in 1989 when our US Team went to Canada to lift in Pan America meet. Glad to see he is still at it after all these years. Not only that but breaking records.That is impressive lifting for any age or weight. Congrats. Ken Ufford

Tony was my favorite lifter when I first started in the sport in 1996, nearly 20 years later he is still my favorite and one of the greatest ever to step onto a platform.
