Denmark's Anton Kraft (123) bench pressed a new all-time record of 463 pounds on Saturday at the USAPL Europa Show of Champions at the Europa Sports Expo in Orlando, Florida. Kraft, who also holds the IPF World Record at 123, held the previous mark at 446 pounds. He first upped that with a 451 pound press before hitting 463 pounds. This is the only photo that I have of Anton at the Europa. - April is 5 foot & 104lbs. Anton is a fantastic bencher and a great guy - He donated his $500 Inzer prize to the meet crew.

I would like to hear everyone's opinion on these lifts. Is it me, or does the bar NOT go back to the starting position at lock out? USAPL is strict about lockouts, so I watched this over and over and from where Anton gets the start command, the bar does not end up back in that position or that high, it is actually lower from when the judge says rack. Is the USAPL getting soft? I could be totally wrong also. Anton is still a very strong bencher nonetheless.

"Maybe king of all benchers certainly in Denmark" Anton is a great guy and lifter for sure. I can appreaciate the publicity he brings to our sport. That being said he is holding a "non-lockout-cetificate" as other lifters like do too. I do not like that. I say, if you cannot stretch your arms, compete in the disabled ipf section. There are great athletes in there too. The non-lockout lift brings confusion into the judging of the lifts. No thank you.
