NASA lifter Tony Foster:
To set the record straight this is what happened: 1) Terry questioned why the top lifters in each category were not drug tested. This was on the NASA forum since the conception of the Pro Powersports. The top lifters in each category were supposed to be tested, money left in an escrow account until test came back negative then lifter would get money. 2)This was supposed to be kept in house with only 4 people involved so this could be resolved but Terry received contact from someone outside the 4 agreed upon involved. This is when the real trouble started. 3)Terry has been portrayed as a jealous lifter because he did not win, this is complete B.S. because he is a huge reason why I do fairly well in competition and he does not give a crap if he wins, he lives and breaths powerlifting for the sport not the money. I consider powerlifting a hobby whereas this is Terry's passion. 4)Terry defended himself with his REAL NAME, No troll, aka or whatever the hell you want to call it name. He is a very straightforward man that wants to help others improve. He is loyal to his friends and were he lifts sometimes to a flaw. That is the cliff notes on what has happened. Feel free to post your REAL NAME if you have an intelligent response. I did not want to get on any powerlifting forums and respond like this, but I feel it is necessary that Terry knows that he has support from a real friend. I have nothing negative to say about anyone, if I did I would prefer to do it face to face like a man.
Terry has never been less than professional, and is always putting other lifters first...Not speaking for Terry, but one of the reasons he probably stayed in NASA is because of all the great lifters and good people he's met there...Not everybody lifts in a fed solely because of management and how they are running things. This so-called conspiracy that Terry was against these guys that got booted out of NASA, I've never heard the stories and have been with NASA over three years... He minds his own business and trains like a monster...Let's look at Terry for who is he; plain and simple, a badass powerlifter, pound for pound, and could probably mop most people up on the deadlift on this forum...He's got more supporters than you think, Riddler...Some are just quiet and don't know how to interpret what has happened, but they still respect Terry Tucker, and that won't change... ...What if you were in an organization, church, job, or whatever, and you stated your opinion about something, and got kicked out for it; just merely stating an opinion.
NASA Executive Committee member JT Hall:
We say we go by coefficient on drug testing a lifter, yet I was drug tested before I had even set a coefficient for myself. I was drug tested on Saturday, but I weigh in the 220 class and always lift on Sunday. To my understanding, I had a lot of people question my abilities. So the organization, like I said, drug tested me before I had even lifted. The organization says that they change the rules for no one, but they changed them on that very day and tested me, and then when I question their methods I was punished for doing so. And then banded for unsportsmanlike conduct. Enough said for now, and there is still more to come. Anymore questions? ... I ask him to let it go and he wouldn't dragging my name though mud but never say it,YES its me the one everyone is talking about TERRY TUCKER.Are you kidding me unsportsmanlike conduct after all the money I spent supporting you.
Yes, the truth will come out soon.
NASA Executive Committee member Job Hou-Seye:
First of all I want to say I respect your lifting abilities and what you do for NASA, your promotion. I have an affinity for NASA too, chiefly because of the great lifters and how helpful and friendly they are...To a degree, I owe NASA for some of the friendships I've forged, but with that being said, I think you are going to be biased on this issue...You can't be totally objective with Terry Tucker. You are an Executive Committee member, and it would look bad if you sided with somebody who questioned the organization. You haven't even heard Terry's side of the story, and any logical and scientific mind knows there are ALWAYS two sides to a story...I think what gets me here is we have heard ONE side, not the other side, and so many people are jumping to the conclusion that Terry is a disgruntled lifter who got angry because he got beat...Number one, he really didn't get beat, he came home with a lot of money, but two nobody's hearing his side of the story...Should we, as honest caring christians, listen to a lifter's side of the story as well, not only the organizations....J.T., I see you as a strong believer..What would Jesus do in this?? What would a FAIR person do? I think for the sake of this situation, it would be wise not to comment on it anymore until you have called Terry Tucker personally and gotten his side...It's the only objective and fair way to come to a conclusion. If your allegience's to the Executive committee and NASA are so strong that you cannot even listen to another person's point of view, then I would bail out from this thread...Your biases will outweigh your logic.. Now with that being said, I'm not in a conspiracy with Terry, Jim Ray, or other NASA lifters that have been asked to leave NASA's forum...I have nothing negative to say about NASA or the lifters there. But I do find it obligatory to stand up for a friend, even if it means I lose my membership. And it's not only standing up for a friend, but it's telling people a simple message, "Hey, why is everybody jumping to conclusions, when only one side has been heard?" You guys have already made up your mind without having heard Tucker's side. J.T., I know you are much smarter than that, but I know your allegiances won't let you be fair on this...A man is not just somebody who is powerful on the platform. A man also stands up for what is right despite the popular grain of opinion and controversy. I do like you J.T., and you have been helpful with my quest in the bench press, but I had to be honest with you about this...And I don't troll, Tony Foster is Tony Foster, plain and simple. ...Some people are going to interpret the former the way they want to; that i'm a rebel...Whatever, I can't change what people think, no matter how diplomatic I'm trying to be...But my true intentions are to support freedom of speech and the freedom to have an opinion about something in a federation without fear of being ostracized or banned for it. I'm supporting the right for another person's story to be told, not just one side..If that's being a rebel and I'm labeled a heretic, so be it. I know these are the principles Americans have fought for.
Jesse Israel, who just cancelled his NASA membership:
There are those who Know, and Know they Know. There are those who Don't Know, and they Know they Don't Know. And then there are those who Don't Know, but they Don't Know that they Don't Know. Shame on everyone who calls themself a Christian and invokes Jesus or The Bible in this matter. IF you Knew the Details, then you'd Know that GREATER restraint was used, and GREATER attempts at resolution were attempted, than even Jesus would expect. AS for the Details, NASA's Executive Committee does not air these issues on Public Forums.
Brad Tripplet who defended Tucker at Outlaws, finds his NASA forum membership pulled:
Terry deserved better than to be called names after all that he gave to that organization. It does not appear that they promote lifting prowess but instead they feed off of loyalty. I find this strange for a sporting organization. ...I resigned my membership to NASA due to suspicious allegations made against those that don't choose to follow the party line. It is your party and you can participate as long as you wish but I cannot sign off on negative accusatory behaviors. I find it not only offensive but repulsive.
NASA President Rich Peters claims Tripplet's punishment was accidental but issues a warning:
Did I get kicked out of the power forum? I thought my membership was expired late this year. I never got a card and can't remember, but I know it was atleast the WC or after that I payed up? ...Also, whoever the trolls are that are trying to stir shit up between me and anyone else, I just wanna make it clear that I have not said anything bad towards anyone in NASA in those posts. Atleast one of those shit stirring posts was made by a nasa-ite. I don't understand why. Why can't people in the powerlifting world stop b###hing and moaning towards everyone else based on the org. they lift with? Why don't I post any more than I do nowadays? Because I realized posting on these forums more than infrequently only makes you enemies. Too many enemies and too many plastic backbones.
Most who post there are the dregs of the pl'ing world. that seems to be the gathering place for all of the malcontents of the sport. ...I have been updating the forums and deleting those that are not current members. Why you were deleted, I have no idea unless your user name didn't include your name in it. Several guys also had 3-4 user names posted as they had lost of forgotten their User Names and I had replaced them. So I may have deleted the wrong one, one that was forgotten or lost and let the lost one remain. Who knows. As far as you going on other forums, I haven't seen or heard anything. Have you been doing that? if you have been, I am sure someone will be letting me know, usually Bruner. Wounds will never heal as long as people keep picking at the wound and causing it to become infected. Time heals many things. My suggestion to people is this, if it doesn't effect them, they should keep their mouths shut and their nose out of others business. Let the parties involved work their difference out on their own. After all, can you actually do anything about what has happened? Many time a person will make things worse by getting involved in a situation. But it's a free country and people can do as they like. Be well aware of the consequences though.
