Create: 03/15/2017 - 17:54
My name is Chris Lentini. I am a 165lb Raw Master Class lifter and also the Regional Director for the Birmingham, AL area for the team. Right now we have an open invitation to add lifters from everywhere in the state. No prior lifting experience is required, only the desire to compete and progress in the sport of powerlifting. If you have any questions you can email me directly at stonealabama@gmail.com or contact our President, Scott Shirley, at the number listed below. The Renegade mission is simple... to build the largest powerlifting team in the country made entirely of Alabama powerlifters and to provide all the tools necessary for long term success in our sport at a cost anyone can afford. Joining Team Renegade is easy. To qualify you must be a registered USPA member (register here: https://www.uspa.net/membership.htm...) living in the state of Alabama. Then send us a message on social media or call us at 256-606-2580. Below is a list of all the benefits you can expect as a member of your new team: 1. Never compete alone again! Your team will compete right alongside you at every meet. 2. You will have coaches available at every meet to help with warmups, lift selection, and motivation. 3. Professional programming from Juggernaut Training Systems. Juggernaut is one of the premier strength educational organizations in the business and have agreed to program for our team. The training cycles will be designed to match the needs of our meet schedule. 4. All workouts will be loaded into your team app. Open the app to that day’s training and enter your lift numbers. The app logs and tracks every training session you complete and even populates a leaderboard throughout the day so you can see how you compare to your teammates across the state. 5. Private Facebook group for virtual coaching. Simply upload your training videos into the group and quickly receive feedback from coaches and teammates alike. 6. You’ll have a team doctor at every meet. Dr. Jill Harbin, owner of Functional Health & Sports Chiropractic, will travel with Team Renegade to work exclusively on our athletes during each meet. She is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner as well as Full Body certified in Active Release Technique (ART). Dr. Harbin was a collegiate softball player, has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, a master’s degree in Education, was a formal personal trainer, and has been an active sports official for over 20 years. 7. Seth Adgate, owner of Woodnote Media, is our official videographer and photographer. His company will video and take pictures at each of our meets and make these files available to all members of the team. 8. Roger Kitchen Jr., has agreed to become the team’s official mental skills coach. Roger, a consultant for NASA, is a Mental Skills Coach and competitive powerlifter with certifications in Emotional Intelligence and Human Behavior. Roger holds a Master’s degree in Christian Management and Leadership, consulting with high performing teams and leaders at NASA. He uses the Lucid Mental Training Model to guide competitive athletes to focus on the right thing, at the right time, all the time, in order to achieve high performance results. 9. Renegade will announce Team dinners on Friday nights prior to a meet and the Saturday night after each meet. Times and locations will be announced ahead of the meet so everyone can plan accordingly. This will be a great way for the team to socialize and celebrate together. 10. Team gear and product discounts 11. Other team events are being planned and will be announced when details are finalized
