Larsen won the heavy weight unequipped division and about $330 in prize money. The lift ranks Larsen, who has to bench with his legs in the air, sixth on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings. Other notable lifts included a 720 pound press by Bob Norris (275), 720 pound press by Paul Ratsch (shw), at a body weight of 322, and a 740 pound press by Mike Kromer (shw), lifting at 337 pounds. Norris was the winner of the heavyweight division and walked away with a cash prize of about $500. Russ Petty (242) was the winner of the lightweight unequipped division. He pressed 380 pounds at a bodyweight of 238 to earn about $330 in prize money. Other notable unequipped lightweights included Derek Goethe (242) with a press of 280 pounds, DeVon Walker (181) with a press of 285 pounds. Walker is the general manager at Starfit, where the contest was held. The youngest lifter was Rowdy Neuman. He benched 215 pounds unequipped at a body weight of 182. He was 16 years old. It was his first contest.
