The 2009 Fantasy Season kicks off this weekend (January 17-18). Included in the weekend's meets is the IPA LexenXtreme Pro-Am. This could be the first meet of the year where you can earn your team points. You can begin assembling your 2009 teams immediately. Remember to have it set by 10 pm tonight for the coming weekend.

Any chance of updating the lifters we can pick from? Some of these people haven't done a meet in years. I'm sure there are some people missing that should be added too.

It can be updated. Would you email a list of lifters that you think should be added and those who no longer compete.

I can't get my team up and running I keep getting this error message: warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/powerliftingwatch.com/httpdocs/includes/common.inc(1857) : eval()'d code on line 401. It may have been a glitch. It all seems to be working fine. Can you try it again?

My initial thought is to start with all the #1 totals and benches in the 2008 lifter rankings for raw, single, and double ply. Then include any lifter that's within a certain range (either weight or percentage) of the #1 person. That'd get you a list of the top lifters of each style for 2008 which we could select.

That's a great suggestion for looking for additions for next year. The choices did get reviewed before this season. A less scientific approach than you suggested was used which probably led to some remaining that shouldn't have and a few not being included that should have. Those lifters can be added as requested.
