Updated W/ Deadlift Video
It has just been reported to us that 57 yr old Tony Conyers hit a 580 squat, benched 405 and pulled 665 to total 1,650 weighing in at only 155 lbs! This was done raw no wraps! The squat, deadlift and total will be new All Time Master world records when the official results come in.
Tony pound for pound is the best all time powerlifter. He truly is amazing. There is not enough adjectives to describe this man of steel.
What lifting.
Ive been doing this for along time and know Tony for over 20 plus years. I tell people all the time that he is the best lifter pound for pound in the history of our sport. Great job Tony
Just when you thought you had a good day you get a text message from one of the judges at this meet... lol
Congrats Tony. Looking forward to seeing videos!

I recall seeing my first live PLing meet in the early to mid 80's near Tampa and being amazed at this skinny little guy who was making big wts look easy. Guy's name - Tony Conyers. I've seen him make huge lifts many times since. Congrats TC.
Tony totaled 10.6 times his body weight at 57 years of age - truly incredible! His ability to amaze us decade after decade further strengthens Jack's contention that Tony is the greatest powerlifter of all time! God Bless you, brother!

Is it possible to get Tony to do an interview? Perhaps give us some insight into how he trains or how he has been training and what changes he has made over the past 2 years that took him from the 1500's to the 1600's at 57 years old.
Tony benched 400 raw in the mid 80's in the 148 pound class.
If we were lifting raw in 90's and early 2000's 1700 plus for sure at 148 or 165. Tony and I started lifting raw in 2005 and I was 40 and was 47. This guy is just amazing.
Jason - I'll speak with Tony and see if we can get something in the April issue of STRONG LIFE Magazine. Will keep you posted! Spero
That'd be great! I'm sure many others would enjoy this!
