…uhhh, Mr. Anthony Conyers???!!! 1480 lb. All-Time World Record Raw Total @ 148 (without wraps!) He holds the same record with wraps too. Oh yeah, he’s also as old as my dad… and I’m 30! Dan Antonucci Proudly Sponsored by Dunder Mifflin Paper Company and Binford Tools

With all due respect, how on earth is Malanichev winning this poll? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he set no records in 2011 and won no big meets. Belyaev consistently beats him on formula and takes best lifter over Malanichev at Russian meets. Malanichev's 308 squat record was set in 2010. So how is he winning a 2011 poll? What has he done in 2011??

Most of all he has been a great icon for the sport. Never says a bad word about any one and no one can say a bad word about him. Plus he is willing to help any one who is willing to put hands on a keyboard and write to him.

I voted for him because he came to Australia for 3 weeks, answered every question nearly broke the raw (with knee wraps record) twice and never asked for a cent from anyone. We had allot of "top" lifters give us the finger when we asked them to come over.

I also found it strange that Malan is winning, when he was defeated and dethroned by Yarymbash(who beat both Malan and Belyaev on formula with a near 700 wilks performance and 2,634 lbs strict IPF style). Yarymbash defeated Vogelpohl at Lexen in multi-ply, then trains for a couple of months and beats Malanichev and wins the Cup of Titans. Then a couple of months later he commits to Lexen 2012 in an interview with Rychlak...
