Can you make a case for the UK to be included? One of the top multi ply powerlifters in the world is a good start.

List looks toss to me no UK , no Slovakia, no Checl repub, no Azerbyjan (think thats how its spelt), no Germany either all these countrys sent big teams and picked up lots of medals at most major events in 2008

Where's the UK? Small Country, 60million of us. Used to run a third of the planet.

Wht about Ireland. We won the overall at the WPF world champs this year and had 8 gold medals and many a WPF world record.

A great achievement for sure. Remember that this is for all of powerlifting though. Which Irish lifters are on top of the multi ply world? What were Ireland's results in IPF competition?

The highest placing by Slovakia, Czech Republic, Azerbaijain, or Great Britain at IPF Worlds was tenth.

Other than Andy Bolton, no lifter from any of these countries won at the IPA Pro-Ams or in open competition at WPC Worlds.

the Russians really do dominate when they compete in the IPF. when they get the boot, then they compete multi-ply and do the same.

but US probably has the most competitors. it they had one fed like most countries they would be hard to beat.

Hungary the Best!!!!!!

A lot of good lifters all over the world, but without a doubt the depth of quality of lifters in both men's and women's Powerlifting and Bench Press is unequaled in the USA; especially in the multiply Pro feds where the best of the best lift. I'd have had to put the UK on the ballot though.

the USA is unequal in the multi-ply because most countries don't compete in it. only time most others like the Russians send guys is when they get the boot from the IPF. "the best of the best" , I assume you mean the best of the best in multi-ply.

I'm not trying to justify including the UK, but your completely wrong stating the highest placed UK lifter at the IPF Worlds was 10th.

As a team, the highest placing for those countries was tenth.
