Submitted by Staff on December 3, 2008 - 10:29am.
In a post made at the Powerlifting UK forum, Andy Bolton challenges the world's best superheavyweights to a showdown at the 2009 WPC World Championships. Those championships will be held in November in Bournemouth, England. They will be televised by Sky Sports.
Bolton specifically targets Donnie Thompson, Chad Aichs, Chuck Fought, Vladislav Alhazov, Garry Frank, Ano Turtianen, Matt Smith and Yevgen Yarymbash. Others suggest the addition of Brian Siders, Jeff Lewis, Jani Murtomaki, and Jonas Rantanen.
Bolton, "challange to all shw. lets all go head to head at the wpc in england, nov 2009,donnie chad , fought excuse spelling, vlad if heathly smith matt, yarambash, franks ,ano lets all do it 1 more time, and with tv coverage everybody can see who is the best, the challenge has been set."
He continues: "its so easy to total big when there is no comp against you or at a small meet, where better to go for it at wpc worlds in england, and i know lifters will say oh its andy home ground, what about the past 6 yrs i have competed in usa."
