Yikes. 562# pretty much stiff legged!!!!! That's a strong freaking back.

can we stop with all this "world championship" stuff everywhere, lets get serious

Thats the beauty of having 4000 powerlifting feds - everyone can win a championship, set records, and have fancy plastic trophies.

I love fancy plastic trophies. It's the boring plastic ones that piss me off.

The sad state of powerlifting. Hopefully this recession will weed out all these for-profit federations. The ADAU, 100% RAW, and RAW United need to merge back with the AAU, where they came out of (when the AAU stopped drug testing in 2000 due to a lawsuit). Hey, the AAU is back drug testing. Then the AAU can re-establish their previous creditability and get a true world affiliation for raw lifting. I guess no one wants to humble themselves and give up power and riches.

Anyways, to Dillard and Hanners, those are great deadlifts. Do have to give credit to 100% RAW for strict judging and using top rate equipment, thus I know those lifts are good. Hanners may even get pass Conyer's 600 lb raw deadlift record.

Too bad their accomplishments are diluted by all these raw federations and world championships, would mean a lot more if done in the old (pre 2000) AAU.

Come on, Tim! We know you've got something colorful to say. I want to see your comments on the ADAU post too. You've been too quiet over the past week, man!

This is just an idea

But in effort help make the worlds more legit and or nationals.
let Nasa, adau, aau,USAPL(FOR NOW) ALL send teams picked by there president and lift for normal cost and entry fee but have no card fee ore whatevere you wnat to do, but say raw already has 100 entries and then the above federation sends teams of 15-20 lifters or more

than the talent pool would increase EVEN more

it would atleast make it so there would be 4-5 lifters in eac class

maybe the above feds could hold a fund raiser and help there lifters with card fees trabel or entry thats up to there president.
Just think of the lifters you could get there

the nasa powersports guys are great, than look at the aau lifters The adau guys are very strong.

And the USAPL guys / gals were un real at ther raw nationals.

The spf has some very strong raw lifters and the aapf

also give out a team trophy to the best or strongest fed each year.

and after that get team Canada involved along with a few other countries that will bring real teams

Great pull Thomas! You made it look easy.

How is it a "world" meet with teams from the US and maybe Canada. World emplies the entire globe. The IPF is talking about holding a Raw international event.

I WAS JUST STAING ON WAYS TO IMPROVE AND MAKE IT BIGGER I DID NOT SAY IT HAD THE CREDIBILITY OF A WORLD MEET.

I would love to see the IPF get a raw worlds that would be awsome but if it does it will not even happen until 2010 at the earliest by the time the get done deciding.

JUST DO IT.

You know what? To hell with all the cry babies on these posts and their damn sarcasim! We have too many organizations in the sport because the sport is so divided. We have people who THINK its fine to use steroids in the sport and people who KNOW its not fine. That is another reason why there is too many organizations.Another is that some THINK its all right to use all this exessive gear and some who KNOW that raw powerlifting is REAL not a fake!

STOP RIPPING ON 100% RAW and get your ass over there and lift in it if you think that there is not enough lifters in it to be considered a "world meet".For those of you who complain about the trophies-Why don't you pitch more money into the organization so it can go buy you a big gold, silver, and diamond covered trophie.

Maybe someday the organizations that do the drug testing can get the results from them in just a few minutes instead of a few weeks. In that way,the lifters who fail the drug test can be disqualified right away and get no award, title or record. However,on the other hand, maybe they should get a trophie anyway-One of a horse's ass!
