My prayers are with the Smith family. Thank you Brian for everything you have done for our sport.

I saw Brian lift many times in the early days of this sport, and watched him act as Platform Manager all over the world in his trademark dark glasses and his very own "barloaded" call.

A true servant of this sport for half a century and a genuinely nice bloke.

RIP

Very sad day , i have many old powerlifting mags where this guy apeared in so many photos with those dark glasses on he was a "Legend"

A loss to the lifting community. Brian was a true gentleman of the sport, and really knew his stuff.
And, when he was platform manager, he NEVER had a misload on his platform.
