Austria grabbed silver, and the U.S. followed in third.

Iceland's Sigfus Fossdal won best powerlifter honors. The best female powerlifter award went to Russian Maryn Berezenko.

Poland's Adam Koztowski and American Leonetta Richardson captured best male and female bencher honors.

USPF

Sigfus or "Skyri" as he is known in Iceland had a great tournament in Vienna.

Ireland had a few imports from Ukraine. Nothing wrong with that but it certainly helped them win the team championship.

sure you don't have to be irish to be irish and anyway didn't one of there lifters who was actually born in ireland break the world record for there combination lifts in deadlift and squats in their class.

I Competed for Ireland, i am irish. there was ONE lithuanian guy called nerjuis who has lived in his ireland for all of his adult life. The best team trophy for FULL power is based on the FULL power competition and exclusive of bench only and deadlift only. there was oen other polish guy who competed bench only but did not influence the winning of this trophy. To say there were a "few" is just plain false
