but at least thats the real weight that they do and not put on ironman costume and do these crazy ass numbers

Well, at least they actually had two international lifters. And I see some great numbers there. Emphasis on 'some'.

Good god almighty not even a 600 squat or deadlift or 500 bench?

WOW, just think how bored the lifters were ,what about the fucking nut jobs who were stupid enough to go and watch this sleeper?

Maybe a root canal or watching paint dry would have been somewhat more exciting!

Oh what the hell, as long as they had fun !

Nice to see Kevin Prosser return to the platform. Didn't he tear a quad a few years back?

it did say that dan corridean squatted 622 and pulled 661. i was there for a while

The raw movement is still catching on and I'm certain in another 5 years you will see much bigger numbers. Meanwhile, it sound like a great time for you guys who think the numbers are low to go show everyone how it's done. No drugs, no gear, pretty simple stuff.

I see two good totals.
Are 100%RAW lifters have a start on WDFPF Worlds?

Thit is the absolute problem with the sport of powerlifting today and the reason it will never be a recognized sport. We have constant idiots out there like the ones that wrote the comments about the people that lifted in this meet. If you don't like the totals in this meet, Go somewhere else and lift or keep your Fuc**ng mouth shut......It must make some powerlifters feel like big bad tough guys to talk shi* about other lifters that work just as hard as they do. OH!! Or maybe start another federation. What would that be # 37.

Hey, whaddaya know - a tough guy complaining about other tough guys. Telling people what to do online is always funny.

Why don't all the people complaining about the raw #'s in this meet go lift in it? Everyone puts work in every day to be a powerlifter, the sport is already fringe enough. At least these guys went out and competed in a meet instead of curling in the squat rack and wandering the gym with Imaginary Lat Syndrome

The weights lifted aren't the problem. It's the fact that this is NOT a world-caliber meet. If it was called the 100% RAW Regionals nobody would have complained.

First of all the lifts are less, but they are for REAL and not a glorified farce like the lifts you clowns with the excessive powerlifting gear do. Now as far as number of lifters at the meet-No one has any control over how many lifters show up.There would have been more lifters at the meet if the lifters that use the gear and rip on the raw lifters would have had the guts to take this shit off and came over to the meet raw and lifted in it.

I can buy that. Approach is everything.

Maybe these world meets should be invite only and the fed absorb some of the cost so that they can get all the best guys on one platform. Those big numbers are out there it's just a matter of getting everyone together.

This meet certainly did not have the number turnout that we were expecting. A lot of interest was shown initially, several months before the meet. Unfortunately interest didn't translate to lifters. However, the lifters that did show up put on a great show, and had some impressive numbers.
I would like to thank all that came to the meet and competed.
All those losers who have posted negative comments about the meet, and never bothered to show up at the meet, your opinions matter little to me. Dan and myself worry about those lifters that showed up, and we work hard to make the meet the best it can be for those who paid to be there.
For those who think this was not a "world caliber meet", or the numbers were not there; I didn't see you there. We run several meets in Hagerstown every year. When you find the time to put "us" in your busy schedule, and come and prove how superior your numbers can be, you are more than welcome. Keep in mind, it's a RAW meet. No wraps, or knee sleeves, wrist wraps, or any other supportive gear of any kind. I know this rules a lot of you out. Oh yeah, no 3-6" high squats, or "doinked" benches. Sorry.

Great to have a raw federation, but I have to question the logic of banning wrist wraps if belts however are allowed... Both provide static support to the joints.

Great business sense.

Can't speak for others, but I'm not going to travel 6000+ miles for a meet of less than state level caliber. I can get that 50 miles from here.

I'll keep that in mind for when I finally visit the US. But honestly: just showing up would have brought me not one, but several world championship titles. From a purely objective standpoint you must agree that this is odd, compared to other sports or even the more succesful PL feds.

I actually like the concept of raw. I mostly compete(d) raw anyway. Too bad most RAW representatives online are terrible spokespersons, because that is very likely playing a major part in keeping your customer base small and amateuristic.
