Jeff can you go any deeper? LOL Just playing looked easy.

waiting for the RAW 1000% guys to say thats not raw because he used wraps and a belt, and didnt walk it out and was in a monolift.

great lifting though for a lightweight.

Looked way too easy Jeff; nice lift.

Great job, Jeff. Nice to see Illinois represented at the SPF. (LOL!!)

Blankenship squatted 440 pounds, benched 275, and deadlifted 430 pounds.

Sorry, that last comment was supposed to have this, Nice job by Mr. Phillips. He is at the top of the rankings! Just shows how amazing the Blankenship lifts were. I was not trying to make light of anyone, tough to do when the guy is at the top of the rankings!! Again, great job.

that bench was shit was not a pause of even lock out evenly shit bench in my opinion.

How old is this guy? These lifts are great but i didn't realize how low the raw records are. One of my friend who's 17 y/o has squatted 490lbs ATG with a walkout RAW and has also totaled 1260 lbs raw

I doubt your "friend" is 148 lbs. Jeff just registered a 3x body weight squat and a 2x body weight bench with only wraps and a belt.

Very impressive Jeff!!

You sir are nothing more than a rude BUSTARD. You for one know nothing about judging nor a legal Bench.
Two are just trying to start sh%%

You didn't realize how low a record is? If you could do any better you would have been there. You didn't come because you didn't want your ass beat. You can't beat him so stop acting like a punk and playing like you or someone you know can do better. Put up or shut up, the calendar is posted
for you and everyone else, come and get you some or just say great lift.

i may be rude but i dont no where that bench would pass i mean if i did that in a ipf comp there is know way it would pass dont get me wrong 275 is a good bench but if i new i could bench like that i would but all those stupid american fed are stuffing it up with ur shit rules and shit judging i think people need to learn what a good gym lift is and a good comp lift is

every good eu weightlifter can do this in front squat without wraps.
Good but, nothing so impressive.

Here is a good idea, why don't you come to one of our meets and introduce your rude ass and jump up on the platform and just show everyone what you are talking about. I am sure everyone, self included, would be glad to see how great you and the IPF really is. Let us know you are going and we will draw a crowd to greet you. (Dumbass)He is lifting and Raw and you even mention shirts.

Jeff is a terrific lifter, but I'd call that bench effort, "sloppy but good". If I had judged in person, I don't know if I would've seen it, but, "upon further review", his left hand dipped slightly after the right caught up, just as he made the final lockout push. When it's that close, you gotta give it to the lifter.

Just to try to put things into proper perspective, the winner of the USAPL Raw Nationals totaled 1190 in the 148 class. I believe that Jeff is 45 years old, so that is what makes this impressive.
I also call bullshit on the I know a guy that gets 100 pounds out of his kneewraps idea. I honestly don't squat one punds more in wraps than is sleeves.

Jesse, a USAPL squatter told me to my face that he gets 100 lbs. out of his knee wraps. (Compared to raw - nothing.) There was quite a bit of discussion on the USAPL forum about wraps vs. sleeves and I believe most would disagree with you.

Jesse Israel wrote:

How much do you get out of your sleeves? Because either you are doing something wrong or you have great sleeves. I can get 20 lbs out of firmly wrapped ace bandages.

Doesn't matter how much someone gets out of wraps, everyone is allowed to use them so there fore it is fair. One thing is for sure SPF will not stop using
them because they also are for safety. Better for EVERYONE to get a few lbs. than blow there knees out.

Anyone that doesn't like that fine, not going to change anything though.

We all get a differing amount out of gear I suppose. I am of the belief that 100 out of wraps is a bit extreme. I am sure that someone can make that happen but it would appear to be more of a psychological advantage than the gear. I do get something out of my sleeves but again, i do believe that this is more in the way of believing that the joint is more stable thus giving me the guts to try to go heavier. Granted, I am not lifting all that heavy either. Squatting 450 at 174 but I am also 45...

Actually Jesse you are right. Iwould say most people might get 10% out of wraps, but as long as everyone is using if they want to it makes it fair.

Thanks for the compliments. I had a good meet in Gatlinburg. Love lifting with SPF. Its a great organization. I'm proud to have the SPF letters beside my name now on powerlifting watch.

As far as my squat, I will usually do my opener and sometimes my second attempt without wraps. I like the safty issue of the wraps more than anything else.

Jim Ray you were right about the 285 pound bench looking sloppy and also about it counting. It looked sloppy because it felt real heavy to my 139 lb body wt. I was able to push through it and lock out barely. Our lockouts were something the Top Hogs worked on alot leading up to this meet.

Finally the 540 raw deadlift was my personal best pound for pound. I didnt think I would be able to pull that after losing that much weight but I was just able to lock it out.

As far as the haters go: They will always be around. They will always try to tear others down for many different reasons: jealousy, bitterness, lack of competitive spirit within themselves but they really dont matter. These guys always "know" somebody who lifts so much more and you never see these guys. I really liked the one idiot who called the SPF a "backyard meet". That was classic. I can speak for the Top Hogs when I say we still remain very excited about SPF and the direction it is going. Robin is was a pleasure watching u lift and even talk a little bit on the dead lift platform Top Hog style.

Get sick with it! Good lifting Boss Hog

There is no such thing as knee wraps giving 100lbs on a squat. These magical knee wraps don't exist. I dont doubt that lifter told you that but he/she is wrong period.

Oh, okay. Thanks for setting us all straight. (Rolls eyes and walks away)
