The lineup on this roster in all categories is awesome! I can't wait!

how do you qualify for this meet?

is this the real roster? or just the list of people qualified for the meet? all these lifters have already sent in their entry form?

Looks like a big lineup, I got my work cut out for me and 181 :)

I can't wait to see Caslow in person, just a hot piece of ass.....

I wouldn't get to excited. I would bet 3/4 of foreign lifters on the roster wont come. The past WPC Worlds in America is the proof.

thanks for your negative input.
Sometimes the Ukrainians can't come at the last minute because of visa and political problems. You can't help that.

I hope that was a dude who said that... LMAO

There was a huge delegation from Russia and Ukraine, as well as England and Australia in NY in 2006. There was a good number of athletes from several other nations such as France and Finland in NY as well. I expect to see at least the number on this roster as it was put out a few days (about a week) before the deadline. If I remember correctly Finland in 2005 and NY in 2006 had close to 300 lifters.

so much for " all of the new federations are spreading the talent out too thin" .... it's really good to see all of these big name lifters competing in one place..... now can we stop whining about how raw is the new wave of the future???

I work out at the same gym as Brad and out the 3 he is the only that actually weighs 181 all the time. instead of having to drop 35lbs 2 days before the meet then then gain it all back and weighing 215lbs in the 181lbs class. so in MY opinion, again my opinion, Brad is the better 181lbs lifter. just my 2 cents

Is Brad lifting at the worlds?

Anonymous wrote:

yes, he is working with a new nutritionist, Christy Latimer of Latimer Fitness, she does diets for many of the bodybuilders and figure contestants. she is dropping him down to 165lbs.

coker is lifting at 220 for this.
brad heck has won many more big
competitions at 181 than fry and coker
combined.

I can't wait to see how Garry does on his return to the big time. Hopefully he can make it until then sans injuries.

Jeff, you are too kind - but I may be to fat to lift as a 242.

4 people benching at 110kg 50-54yrs. Bruce McIntyre is the best of the group so far - he kicked my butt last time we lifted in the same meet - but then, he wasn't 50 then!!! Then there is Dave Murphy, watch him, he will definately break 600..... mark my words. I think I benched against Tony Bartolomei at the Chicago Bash, once he gets his shirt dialed in, he is over 600 for sure. - you might see 3 of these 4 hitting 600 or more (with ALL having the potential to do so) - not bad for a group of old farts. Masters Friday is the day to watch!

I'm looking forward to this meet. Should be fun.

100% agreed!!!

In the style of Joe Calzaghe, the Welsh are coming...

Good luck to everyone competing this week at the WPC Worlds!

I am curious to see if all the foreign lifters show up. I have seen this list every year and about 10 of the foreign lifters show up.

Richard Ligier is about to kick some ass on the bench press!!
