Can only be good news.

Through passion,I gain strength.

I believe that Mike had said that the meet site was secured even beyond next year, to a total of three years.

Oh! the organizers confirm THEY ARE THE TOP EVENT, bullshit! It is UPA all the way!

I traveled 6 hours to watch this year's event, not knowing any of the lifters personally. I've read about them, seen them in PL USA and on internet videos, but these guys are more impressive in person. I hate all the crap the IPA and multi-ply feds have written about them. I saw strict judging and good lifts. Congratulations to the IPA for a great show. All of the lifters that I talked with were very approachable and friendly. None of them put on airs like I've seen in other feds. Again, Congratulations and I can't wait until next year.

where is sharonville near in ohio??

North suburb of Cincinnatti.

what is the qualifying process for this event?

Undeniably one of the best powerlifting meets of all time. Last year was good...even though it was very hot in a cramped building. This year was excellent! Plenty of room, lots of help, very good judging, great warmup facility, excellent announcing, started on time (well a few minutes late ain't bad), absolutely great loading and spotting crew, all around a great event. Many thanks to those of you(especially Greg and Debbie Damminga and the Diablo crew) who gave support to my wife Lisa during her lifting, she had a pr day. We are looking forward to next year. kw

Qualifying total is 2,100 for 220's then add 100 lbs for each weight class above that. I'm not sure about under 220.

WHATS THE QUALIFYING TOTALS FOR 275 AND 308

To the upa idiot. The meet was run by Mike Ferguson. He never said it was the top meet.He is a very giving guy who wants to put the best meet on for the lifters. He doesnt do it for the money he is a great guy who loves the sport. He puts a meet on with integrity.I have found the upa to give lifts to lifters they like and screw ones they dont.Hopefuly that changes. If the upa was so great maybe they would have there own equipment and not have to borrow theres from Mike Ferguson

Nicely put...

It won't be the top event if they keep ripping people off - can you say Chuck Vogelpohl? Jealousy is sad really, isn't it.

Mike and the entire crew from his gym worked their ass off. I stayed and helped load back up and let me tell ya they were tired but pleased with the meet. I heard not one negative comment all week end regarding the meet, venue, judging etc. It was a great meet. I talked to Marsha and they think they will break even. And speaking of Marsha she is a top lady body builder and gave up training that week to help with the meet, she competes this sat 30th. Good luck to the whole bunch and I personally thank you all.

The judging was strict and fair, plain and simple. This is the second one I've lifted in (amateur) but the PRO's are awe inspiring. Great meet!!
