Jason Coker to compete at 198

Jason Coker failed to make his planned weight class of 181 at yesterday's weigh-in for the IPA Power Station Pro-Am. Coker will now face off against Sergiy Naleykin, Adam Driggers, and others at 198. Coker should also be in the running for the best lightweight lifter award. The lightweights (198 and under) compete today in Sharonville, Ohio.

Coker got close. 185 he weighed in at. he spent 12 hours in and out of the suana, then from 9 at night til 6:30 in the tub. Jason has heart.

cartinian made 181

frankl is doing bench only

Thank you for the correction Brad.

12 hours? how much weight did he have to cut?

last i knew he was about 205 so im guessing 20 lbs. or so

It'll be great to see cartainian on the platform again.

its too bad coker didnt make weight he would have snatched that all time bench record for sure

Kick some ass Coker. Good luck

Coker benched 805 and Frankl did 850!!!

Both of them are!!! Nice work boys!!! Both over 4.3X bodyweight!!!

What did Jason hit in the squat? Anyone know?

Summina bitch. Wicked benching, there ! Damn Jason, you were one 30 minute shit from making weight. Good job to those that competed.

I believe he squated 890

Last weekend Jason weighed in at 198.0. I am sure he put on some weight over night. If I had to guess I bet he was lifting at the Europa around 210 to 212. After the Europa he must have cut from 212 all the way to 185. That means he managed to pull off 27 pounds in 5.5 days. That is crazy.

Liisa and I were talking about his weigh cutting this past Thursday. We were laughing because I said, "I bet Jason is flat miserable by now." The craziest thing is this: do you realize he cut 27 pounds in 5 days and still managed to bench 805 in the 198 class after weighing in at 185. Now that is sick lifting.

Huge congrats to Jason.

seeing this more and more recently i have to ask... how can people compete in a class that they have to cut 10%+ of their bodyweight to be in? kinda of outrageous to compete at 181 when you are truely a 220 isnt it? having said this i have cut 10-15 pounds to make weight at times but things seem to be getting a little over the top...
