Tony you continue to show why you are such a dominant competitor! Congratulations great squat!

The 720 looked deep, while the 780 looked cut a bit short. Amazing strength....

Excellent -
Jamey

SO what was he trying to break? Brian's weight or how high of a squat, well I guess he did one and tied the other?

SO silly!

Those first two were even good under IPF rules..........Go APT Strangulator knee wraps!

Tony's not trying to break anything - his lifting accomplishments speak for themselves. He lifts because he likes to do it, and still feels called to do it - What's so silly about that?

There's nothing silly about it! Tim "The People Chump"Bruner is a "Has Been" who never will be again. The only thing the old man is good at anymore is runing his big fuckin mouth and talking bad about people's accomplishment's. We can all only hope to be half the "Internet Soldier" the People's Chump is.
Great Squat's Tony!!
Jason Coker

think tony definetly squats deeper than brian!

Either way great lifting tony! Awesome strength, iwas privileged to meet tony at 100% raw meet in fla 2 years ago, one of the coolest and nicest guys ive ever met

Congrats to Tony,

You are still an inspiration and I am glad to call you my friend.

For some reason some people are jealous because their tired old ass can't squat 780 in the 275 class!

I'm sure tony is lifting, and not running his mouth like some people, so he will continue to be great, and not be a never will be like some dorks!

What surprised me was how fast he descended with
that canvas squat suit on. Most of the time I've seen people go down at a snail's pace and then fire back up at about 3" high. I think his first two were definitely deep enough, and I couldn't really tell on the last one.

Conyers is definitely an inspiration to all. I've always enjoyed reading about his kickin' butt for all these years, along with other older greats with longevity, like David Ricks, Mike Bridges, and Brad Gillingham. Amazing.

Those were some great squats!

Who says you can't judge depth by a front angle camera view?

Had the pleasure of lifting with Tony back in 1989. Hes a strong dude. Nice job buddy very nice looking squats. Ken Ufford

Very Nice Tony. I have never see another lifter go down so fast in a canvas suit and squat so low. Huge Congrats......

and then the haters,

to the haters, please just keep hateing away. We've got to have you guys to. If not, it would be a boring world. So please keep the haten alive. My name is J.C. Perez in Tampa. Manager of pitbull gym. If you want to hate on me, hate on. I love you haters.

There is nothing IPF about those squats.

I've posted this before, but for a moron like you, I'll do it again:

A NEGATIVE OPINION OF A LIFT IS NOT, "HATING" ON THE LIFTER. For a bunch of supposed tough guys, you have skin as thick as rice paper. Any little critique and you're crying like a school girl.

All you ever have to say is, "Scoreboard! Next?"

I met Tony back 1994 at ADFPA Nationals that was the year he won APF and USPF Nationals as well not many can say they've done that isn't that right PEOPLES CHAMP! I tell you right now Tony can compete under any rules! He is one of those great people that is easy to talk to as well.

Tony is a great guy. When I first started lifting he was always there to spread his knowledge and be an inspiration.

As for whoever made the statement about one lifters depth being deaper then anothers mmmmm who cares if they both get white lights. Since when has a person got bonus points in a meet for squating deaper then his competitor but moving less weight.

Very, very impressive. Excellent job.

Were you there?

Scott Taylor & myself were judjing from each side, Andrew Yerrakadu was the head judge & all 3 of us were unanimous in our decision: the squats would pass in any fed.

Cheers

crooked maybe, but handsome as all get out - meanwhile this whole depth thing is tired, tired, tired, and Tony Conyers is absolutely the last person (except for maybe John Bernor) who would want his name connected to any kind of internet drama. For what it's worth, I did notice that the camera angle on the 3rd attempt is different from the first 2, and that might explain why they look different (if they do look different - my astigmatism in my good eye has been acting up and my glass eye is in the dishwasher so I can't really say for sure). From where I sat (ie. the head judge chair) they looked fine. Now we can have a whole internet pee pee match on whether the head judge can/should call depth. Yeccchh.

PS - in real life Molly really can spell 'judge' - her internet alter ego not so much.

You guys are such bullshitters, if Tony or any one of these "SQUATS" were so IPF or so deep or so deserving of 3 white lights, then why when they try to go USPF it is a 630 squat or better yet hell why not Tony just go to any USAPL (IPF) and squat a NEW WORLD ALL TIME RECORD on any given week, along with all you other yahoos ! REAL SIMPLE, because those nose bleed squats are junk and will only be passed in bogus meets and bogus feds!

I guess you would say what? Let me guess, because the IPF guys do not give white lights for a lifter being a nice guy?

Have a nice day!

Buddy, who the hell was talking to your dumb ass. So let me get this straight, and i quote "A NEGATIVE opinion of a lift is not hating". You sound like a really intellegent person that had a brain fart when writing this crap. I will forgive you that. I silent blessing from me to you. Another hater revealed. Come on buddy, Your up. You probably have nothing to say after that huh...
KEEP THE HATING ALIVE, BIG GUY. your friend and fan.

J.C. Perez

Im done with you Bruner. You sound like a really nice guy thats got your head up your ass, and i will let you know. USPF, IPF, APA, WPO, and any other federation that you want to name. Google Tony Conyers and see what the man has done and has been doing for over 25 years while you sit there and bash his lifts. Good job big guy. Your up, the self proclaimed "peoples champ". I love you buddy. Dont get mad at me for setting you straight.

J.C. Perez

Tony is the man and has been for years. Nice guy and has competed all over the place in many feds and in every range of gear you can imagine. Great squats!

No, but I saw the clip. And just because the federation owner is there judging means nothing. Federation owners today want to see that one big lift and if its borderline it will pass.

You want a legal IPF squat? Then you do it by

no mono lift

IPF legal gear

hit depth.

Sure that squat would have passed in most feds, not the IPF. If that squat fits the rules of the APA then its a good lift. But its not legal in the IPF. I am sure if you took 10 lifters anywere at the same age and bodyweight you would have 9 that would have been crushed by the same lift.

But its still not a legal IPF lift.

Yeah I know, f you coward, typical hater blah blah blah. Just being honest.
