Iron Gladiators Great Northern Championships Pictures

Robert O. Smith has posted pictures (here and here) from the WABDL Iron Gladiators Great Northern Championships held Saturday in Olympia, Washington.

Smith, himself, bench pressed 573 pounds. The effort was a Masters 61-67 WABDL World Record and the most weight ever benched by anyone 65 years of age or older. Here's video of the lift:

You guys have some of the best lifters in the country that compete in WABDL. Always a pleasure to work with and watch at WORLDS.
Good to see Andy in those pictures. The man may be lacking in hearing but not in passion for lifting.

Thanks Jamey, it's true, WABDL has an incredible line up of lifters in every state...and Gus' contests always boggle the mind with huge lifts and big turnouts...there were 2 shots of Andy Medak on the 'pages' one where he is standing over the bar shows great drama and concentration..I think my buddy Nancy shot that one.. a cool lifting moment ..thanks for viewing the sites !
