Getting better with age ROBO.... you the man congrats.

Thanks Shawn --no --YOU da man !!

I'm amazed that I can get stronger every year..at the same bodyweight or below..I think it's because I don't THINK about being old--it's like the old animated cartoon where a guy is walking off a cliff...and is walking in air...when he finally looks down... he falls (comically)

maybe if we all become oblivious to old age--we will be able to keep going with progress !

dont' look down--don't look back?

congrats, thats damn impressive. i can only hope to still be going that strong when im your age

keep up the hard work.

Robo,
It takes a Smith to continue to get the job done long after the younger guys drop out! Great job! Keep going! Your an inspiration for us younger guys. I'm only 63 so I guess I need to get serious and get back into heavy training again. But the squat is my lift. I don't thinK myself or anyone of the current older lifters can match you in the Masters Bench!
Take care,
Larry "Iron" Smith

Congrats ROBO, its always great to see you re-writing the record books!

Nice lifting, very impressive at any age, I did'nt see any pics. of Don Linerud, the Wabdl 181 open world rec. holder. I see he did finish off with a 544 at 181.Surprises me he does'nt get his recognition. Anyway congrats to Mr smith and Mr Crawford you guys are amazing.

544@181 in single ply is very impressive

Hey CW --Thanks for the compliments--let me apologize for missing Dan Linerud..the picture updates I do on my site are not official WABDL or Bull R ent. sites...and what we do is try to get as many shots as we can while we are doing our lifts...and with keeping our own lifting focus sometimes we miss great people...but we try to show the highlights that we can grab with one hand on the camera and one on setting for our next attempt--the results arent up at the WABDL sites yet..so I didn't even know what gems I missed...ideally, I should have a person along JUST to shoot pix...I'll keep an eye out for Dan if he's at Olympia..

Thanks to Priscilla for the kind comment...I'd be nowhere without the Katana's you sell me :) (still haven't used the newest one from a year ago)

Larry Iron 'Brother' Smith--hope to hear of your return to the platform and look for that HUGE squat...

thanks everyone --ya made my day !!

No excuses! Just lift it!

Very impressiive as always Robert! You give me hope for the next 13-14 years! Keep raising the bar!

NOT BAD FOR A CARTOON MAN...CONGRATS...NOW YOU SHOULD CRACK 600 AT WABDL WORLDS IN LAS VEGAS IN NOVEMBER...RIGHT !!! SEE YOU THERE WITH THE REST OF THE KANADA CREW...

Asesome!

Lets hear it for the old guys.

You are only as young as you let yourself be.

Congrats Robo!!
Don't look down, don't look back; just look straight ahead. Looking forward to hear you crushing 600 lb.

Yes Bert !! But not the other way around (600 crushing me) shhh--don't tell anyone, but if my first attempts go well in Olympia--I may give 600 a try...but remember I have to drive home (5 hours) so I can't go breakin my arm !

Thanks to Bobrovitz-Isbell --Zane --and mastermonster..I really appreciate the recognition coming from champs like you !

Hey and CW Farmer--it bugged me a lot about missing Dan's lift ..then I thought, isn't Dan number 21 down on the picture page I linked here?? looks like a 181'er doing 540 ! hope so..

I did'nt see Don in the pics robo, but my stats were off abit, Don got 523 at 181 and got 544 up but so was the butt.Looks like a very nice atmosphere and alot of fun.Good luck in olympia looks like the 600's are right around the corner.
