Bruce was a good man; he will be missed. My condolences to Wendy and his family.

"..Hey Kid.." hopefully you will finally enjoy peace...thanks for turning so many of us into powerlifters...you were quite a character and a great lifter, coach and mentor.

I competed in Bruce's WPC North American Powerlifting Championship in Canada (2001). Bruce ran a great meet, was the head spotter at the meet for the squats, and was a gracious host. I had never met him before and had time to chat with him at the hotel everyone was staying. He seemed like a very quality individual. 56 is way to young to get taken out of the game of life. My condolences to his family.

My daughter and I met Bruce through his gym in Okotoks and came to consider him a good friend. He was a good and kind man and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of grief.

Robert, there are currently discussions underway with the Greig family in consideration of a memorial fund, tribute trophy, and other options to honour and recognize Bruce's contribution to the sport of powerlifting and his support of so many athletes. We'll keep everyone posted when there's a decision.

My very deepest condolences to Bruce's family and friends.

I competed in several of Bruce's meets. I always felt very comfortable with him spotting on the squats. He will be missed deeply by all. My condolences to his family.

I met Bruce and Wendy in the early nineties and lifted at his meets for many years. Always great events and this news really saddens me. A great competitor, always encouraging, and this sport will miss him. My thoughts are with his family. Jon Wolbers.

Yes he was a great man and will be missed by all of us.

Rest in peace Bruce! You were my inspiration!
