EPF European Championship Highlights

In addition to the outstanding performance of Poland's Jaroslaw Olech, a number of other top performances were turned in at the IPF affiliate, EPF European Championships held May 6-10 in Frydek-Mistek, Czech Republic.

The biggest squat of the meet, 931 pounds, was hit by Germany's Andy Elvis Dorner, shw. Dorner finished second to Finland's Jari Martikainen in the superheavyweight class. Dorner's 931 pound squat:

Finland's Kenneth Sandvik, 275, had the highest bench press of the meet with his 639 pound press. Sandvik ended up third at 275. Here's video of his bench press:

The biggest deadlift of the Championships was 782 pounds. Ukrainian Oleksandr Shepil, 275, and Finland's Jari Martikainen, shw, each hit the mark. Shepil was the class winner at 275 and was third in best lifter honors. Shepil's 782 pound deadlift:
