Organisation was really bad, first they didnt have the bars, they had the 55mm diameter bars and the plates were 50, so the first day was spent looking for the right bars...

spotters... this is really where they went wrong... 12 year old girls... 4 lifts in first 2 days were missed because spotters didnt know when NOT to touch the bar or the lifter... and every 1 out of 3 was misloaded... taking 90 seconds or more to load the bar (yes, i counted)...

technical officer, was he even present???

-guy squatting with two suits (wont type their names here, but McAfee will know who i'm talking about)...
-guys benching in OPEN back shirts which is clearly not allowed in GPC (at least in the rule book they say so)...
-some lifters were allowed to take their attempts even after the one minute expired, and some were NOT...

again, where is technical officer???

thanks, post your comments please...

Is this sour grapes?

Your English is very good. If you are one of the GB lifters post your name.

ok big daddy Im now at home and not on a blackberry that had trouble logging on.Your point is ?

This is going nowewhere...

I was present at GPC Europeans and have to agree with "srbin" ... meet was anything but up to standards for an international meet.
Looked like there was more "politics" involved than is good for the sport/lifters...too bad 'cause this might convince people to change organisation.
Let's hope GPC draws it's conclusions from this one!
