strongest man who ever lived no doubt!

How come there isn't a lot of people these days following the exact way he used to train?

Thanks for the video Jon.

No tattoo's, hair on his head, no equipment, a Christian man so no searing, one wife, family man, no drugs, which organization would he be proud of? NONE OF THEM!

This should be a obvious wake up call.

He's just saying Paul didn't walk around like a badass and have a mean look on his face and try to make people think he is so tough because he was strong. A lot of powerlifters today project that image of themselves. Paul was just a good clean cut dude who had an amazing gift and was an amzing person. God Bless him and people will forever be amazed by his strength.

What a odd and judgmental post! As a Christian myself I try not to judge any one especially by there looks and where they choose to participate in a hobby.

I believe that Paul Anderson was possibly the strongest man for his time in the U.S. but alot of his lifts are skeptical at best. I sat down with THE Bill Kazmaier and we looked at a biography of Paul Anderson that one of his close friends and ex-powerlifting great had gone through. Most of the plates were painted flat black or chrome and they did not match any of the brands of steel of that time. Paul was sitting in the bottom of a 900 lb. squat with a smile on his face and there was no bend in the bar at all. He was in another picture doing a 465 lb clean and jerk with no effort on his face, in the grass, with pinkies and ring fingers off the bar. I think he was a tremendous asset to the sport but many powerlifting greats will agree that his lifts were blown out of proportion.

phht... the next thing you're going to tell me that the plates they use in those pics in bodybuilding mags are fake too.

im sure he was a great guy and tremendously strong, but just the fact that 99% of his "feats of strength" were never confirmed impresses me little more than isaac nesser. now im sorry to compare him to that douche but its the same principle, its unproven.

basically what im saying is; until there is proof im not buying it.

this is a strong statement,it may be true!

he looks just like rocky marciano
great pics

no way should anyone compare him to isacc nesser..thats out of order.anderson is a legendary figure
oh and he DOES look like rocky marciano

LOL he kinda resembles eddy coan in the face in a couple pics.. what do yall think?

It always amazes me when you have a bunch of no achieving nobodies putting down one of the powerlifting legends ....

bro all im saying is that theres all these claims of astrinomical lifts but no proof of them. i know the guy was crazy strong and obviously a great guy that everyone respected, but that doesnt make you the strongest motherfucker to ever live.

on top of that it doesnt matter what people have and havent acheived. you can talk shit about the president even though youve never held that office. you can talk bad about pro football and basketball players even though youve never been either and couldnt come close to acheiving the things they do every day. critisism is OK, you dont have to be better than someone to provide your opinion on them

george bush sucks and is a liar, shaq is a shitty free-throw shooter, and anderson silva is skin and bones. just like paul anderson didnt really put up the numbers that people claim

Pretty amazing nonetheless, records I suppose where alot harder to keep track of sixty years ago, we've come along way baby,It's a proven fact as time goes by people get bigger and stronger hell a six foot tall guy in the 50's would have been center, but every now in then the "great one" puts in a little exception to the rule,I looked at some of thomas inch's feets(the thomas inch barbell,if you don't know who he is take a look)and found them pretty hard to believe,(but I do)but either way it gives a little mystique to the roots, thanks Jon cool video
