Joe Norman Squats 1,003 Pounds At Masters Nationals

Joe Norman, 220, squatted 1,003 pounds at last weekend's APF Masters, Junior, and Teen Nationals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The effort was a WPC Masters World Record. Norman already sits sixth on the all-time list with a 1,003 pound squat hit in 2006. The effort ranks him third on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings.

No excuses! Just lift it!

It was an awesome squat and an awesome class to watch lift! Joe and Henry put on a SHOW! My training partner Chris Sanford was in that class in his 1st National meet and he was overwhelmed by the #'s they were hitting; but he stayed composed and lifted well hitting 3 PR's instead of caving under the pressure. He got his feet wet to national competition in a big way...and he's excited about his next one! That's the reaction I was hoping for. He's been competing less than a year. All he talked about all the way home was how impressed he was at Joe and Henry!

Great job Joe! Hell, everybody there was talking about Joe!!!!
