Junior Wildauer Martin Pulls 836 Pounds

Austrian Junior Wildauer Martin, 308, deadlifted 836 pounds on March 15 at a meet organized by the Austrian IPF affiliate, OEVK. Martin also made his opener at 792 pounds but missed a final deadlift at 880 pounds.

At twenty years of age, Martin says that he's chasing Andy Bolton's Junior Record: "at the wpc european cup in austria I am going to weigh more and the suit will fit great. at the moment my bodyweight is about 300lbs and I think I can at another 6-7 pounds for the cup. then the junior world record of andy bolton will be history. I am full of confidence that 400kg (880lbs) should be possible. my opener will be 385kg (847lbs) so in any case- the record should be mine. I hope..."

Alexander Kluschev holds the IPF Junior World Record at superheavyweight at 833 pounds. Andy Bolton holds the WPC Junior World Record at 308 of 843 pounds.

type wildauer martin into youtube and theres tons of stuff.

WHat have i seen.....

i saw him do a below the knee rack pull @ 946
I saw him do bent over rows @ 440 lbs x 8 reps
I saw him front squat 528 lbs i believe raw
i saw him deadlift 858 in the gym
i saw him back squat 748 in a single ply suit with no knee wraps
raw back squat over 600 lbs
bench i think i saw him do like 395 x 3 raw
and 5 something in the single ply shirt
and he also does crazy deadlift reps, something along the lines of like 750 x 3 raw!

you see the wing span on that bird.hook grip, i dont know why more guys dont use the hook grip.with an over under grip the bar will sit a little higher on one side than the other causing a slight twist during the pull which is extremely hard on the spine. also it does shorten up the pull slightly.great deadlifting by a young up and comer.
