great job ryan! u got more in the tank on the bench. hope u heal up quick

This is 10% Luck, 20% Skill, 15% Concentrated Power of Will... 5% Pleasure, 50% Pain, and 100% Reason to Remember the Name!

Ahh! That's just sick, bro!

Good luck at the FitExpo this weekend!

And that was at 193 no less. great lifts!

518 raw bench at 198 with a, "start" command is AWESOME!

Awesome job, 1758lbs at 198 unequipped is brutally strong.

wow thats tough, he's getting close to a 3x raw bench

freakin monster. that makes me feel so weak, lol... all three of those lifts are almost 100lbs. more than my raw PR's

now thats powerlifting

Ryan is a great guy and an awesome lifter. It was an honor to hand him $500. ;-)

Stay with it,

Holy shit, his 518 at 193 is insane. It practically looked like a warm-up rep. He looks stronger then Dennis Cieri and he's lighter and he also squatted and pulled that day. I'm speechless.

ive always been more impressed with ryan than dennis. this dude does all three lifts strong and benches just as good as cieri

Ryan hit 530 last year at the Pittsburgh Monster meet and got stalled at 550 just shy of lockout.

Not to speak out of turn...He definitely had more gas in the tank, that's easy to see from the vid, in-person he didn't look winded; but I think he was probably saving some for the deads. Had Dennis been there he probably would have pushed hard for the challenge.

Freakish strength. Thanks for the video posts- keep setting the bar higher Ryan!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan lift in the American Cup this weekend at the LA Fit Expo. He definitely has a shot of winning the money for the light wt men bracket.

This guy doesn't recieve the credit he truely deserves. 518 on the bench press, which he probably could have done for another rep. Pound for pound, this guy is probably second best behind Jeremy Hoornstra... My opinion.

Everybody's talking about this guy's bench press. He has an amazing bench press, one of the best but I'll just say this;

Until after seeing these results, I known of of Ryan Celli as a great bench presser. Now, I know of Ryan Celli as a great powerlifter.

- Over three times body weight unequipped squat at 193.

- Over two and a half times body weight unequipped bench press at 193.

- Over three times body weight unequipped deadlift at 193.

Awesome.

Is this a drug tested meet? Is it safe to assume he's not clean? Not bashing, I'm just curious what I could expect out of my own frame since I'd likely compete in the same weight class. I'll be staying natural.

Jonathan

I'm sure he takes showers every day mr. anon. Oh you meant the other "S" word. What does it matter, either you can lift more or you can't regardless of drugs. As for what to expect out of your own frame, only you can dictate that. Just workout as hard as you can, because I'm sure that Ryan is, and become as good as you can. I'm sure if you do that you'll do just fine. Have a great day.

No excuses! Just lift it!

That was awesome to see again. Actually a better view than I got being there. He made that bench and 640 DL look way easy!

Awesome lifting. Im definitely digging the semi-sumo.

man that was awesome! that bench was sick

Very strong Ryan! Good luck to you at the Fit Expo and see ya at the Arnold.

Great job Ryan in all 3 events. I am looking forward to helping at the Fit Expo. You keep benching the way you do and I will need to start doing max effort shrug day just to keep up with the lift offs!

Awesome job Ryan!

ditto

it was a tested competition. i don't know if there was an untested division, but i can testify that i had to pee in a cup when it was all said and done.

No, it would be safe to assume he is clean. He's just a freak with an incredible work ethic!

Those were some really nice lifts!

dont worry about it bro. concentrate on your training not what other people are doing. it doesnt affect you in any way.

thats true power right there. awesome

Aww...you are the best, Bud! :)

Nice lifts Ryan!

And good luck this weekend!! John, I better hear what's going on ;)

I agree with T.Johnson either you can do the lift or you can't regardless of drugs. Most of these guys like Cieri, Hoornstra, Lewis etc. that are drug free also had the comfort of great mentors and facilities with experienced lifters giving them good advice and pushing them along the way. Some people don't have a decent gym around them nor anybody to mentor or HELL even spot them like i did, so I took shit to level the playing field..I commend these guys for being drug free but don't point the finger at somebody that does drugs..They may not have the support system like others do..powerlifting is results oriented!
