No excuses! Just lift it!

Wow! Any speed there Tony and 700's going up! That slow and the top half is all just animal strong 'GRIND'! Awesome strength! I don't know about 'master of the shirt' (speed kills in a shirt!)...master of strong...YES!

Anybody that is 242 class benching 650 or more knows a little about shirts.

I didnt mean that as a raw vs geared thing.
I compete in gear.

The Beast is back

I have to agree with you mastermonster. If he was to drop the bar faster he would easily hit 700. That is a rather slow degress with the bar not to mention in a single ply but to be able to grind up that kinda weight is a statement of what type of shape his triceps are in.

I just wanted to get on here and speak for Tony b/c he is a good friend and training partner of mine. He's also the one who is teaching me to USE a Bench Shirt because he is indeed a master of the shirt. He only Benches 405 RAW and he is getting 250+ out of a SINGLE-PLY shirt. Lowering the bar FASTER is something he preaches to me and the rest of the guys who train with us and beleive it or not he is lowering the bar as fast as he can in that shirt. He weighs 238 lbs and he is wearing a Size 42 Katana. Which is the reccommended size for a 181. So the shirt is TIGHT as hell on him!

But anyway, if you wanna see what other kinda crazy numbers he puts up you can go register on his forum @ www.ironbrothers.com and read his training logs. Just recently he hit a 735 + 40 lbs of chains off a 3-Board in that shirt and his little brother Donovan Atkins who is only 19 and competes @ 275 in USPF.

you are very, very lucky to have a training partner like that. Learn all you can from him and enjoy it.
