What ever happened to J.M. Blakely? It seemed to me like he kind of faded away. I think it would be interesting to see what guys like him ,Confessore, Lain, and Harris would do with today's equipment. Anyway, good stuff by one of the best lifters I've ever seen.

If you've never met JM.... he is one of the coolest dudes to talk to. He will talk to and advise anyone at any level of the game. A great guy and a great competitor.

...you see how technical and repetitive he is? Great coaching for sure....

Putt Houston.... now with more Bom Chicka Wahwahhhhhh

I am not speaking on behalf of Ken Lain, but I am friends with him and he is the one who got me into the powerlifting. He told me that Inzer would fly him down and try all sorts of shirts on him with all kinds of sleeve angles and stuff. He used the best shirt available to him at the time, so I think he would be using the double ply's we have today.

It's nice to see this clip put out. This exercise is often misinterpreted but like JM said even slight variations are great work.

Does anyone know where he now resides and where you can you find his video?

follow this video to youtube and email me there. i will give you info on how to get his video

JM is alive and well. He has not competed in several years, but is still active training people. He just had his left hip replaced in October and will be getting the right hip replaced in December.

He still resides in Columbus, OH. He's been there all of his adult life, except for a year or so in SoCal.

You can still order his videos and book by calling (614) 496-3005.
