One option on the pole should be when Justin Graalfs Squated 1,085 @ 242

That was a hard one to overlook in the best squat moment.

Vargason shouldn't even be on the list.

i had to vote for kutchers 2172 total.
amazing numbers.

ribic would be my number 2!

great liftin this year.

great liftin this year.

A lot of great accomplishments by all of these lifters as well as many more which aren't on these list, including yourself.

In my opinion, i think that the powerlifting moment of the year is The PowerliftingUnlimited movie. I thought this was a huge step in the right direction towards letting everyone know more about the sport. No arguements about raw vs. geared. No arguements about feds. Just folks commin together to promote the sport.

Depending on what comes out of the movie, it might be a good contender for 2007.

is the movie out yet?

This is 10% Luck, 20% Skill, 15% Concentrated Power of Will... 5% Pleasure, 50% Pain, and 100% Reason to Remember the Name!

There are a handful who've seen it. Last I heard it was still being activiely shopped.

Gene benching 1,010!!!!!

An argument certainly can be made. It seems too late to add it to the list though.

A human being finally deadlifted over a grand and being the first to do so. Ahhhh...that rightly deserves the best moment in powerlifting by far.

I've added Rychlak's bench although he's at a severe disadvantage. However, it should be recognized.

its great he broke 1000.
thats why it should be on there.
but, i dont know about by far.
he has two or three people that are pretty close to his lift.(benni, konstantinov)

nobody is even close to kutchers accomplishments
or swansons.

how can yall even think that a dead lift of 1003 can even compair to a bench of 1008. its natural that someone can deadlift alot, but not even close to natural that someone can bench in the 1000s.

Maybe because a shirt is "assisting" with 300+ lbs of the lift??!!! Duh. Bar has to move farther in DL than bench.

the deadlift bench comparison is stupid. I saw a video were Kennely couldn't make 980 touch?????

Vargesson? never heard of him.

What Kutcher is doing at 165 is incredible, deadlifting more than all competitors 242 and under (except konsti) and most 275'ers.... just amazing.

it would be nice to get 300 pounds out of a shirt. i get the same out of my shirt as i do my double max dl.
