i voted for Faroane here.
big numbers!

Thompson

IPF World Champ
IPF World Record
All-time Raw Coeficient Bench in History
This all done less than 9 months after having a baby.

(They all have big numbers; Farone has big numbers for her size.)

pound for pound, Janet

Kara benched 400 lbs. over 10 times @ 148 within a few months; including while doing it after squatting 500+ in just briefs. Doesn't seem like much of a content.

c'mon Laura Phelps has to be #4# the strongest woman in the world hell 10x bodyweight, 465# bench, 430 at the Arnold with a torn shirt even if they didn't give it to her it was locked out!! Not to mention 700 plus on squats @165# sorry no contest

B.O.T.B ;)

bench only

janet did close to triple bodyweight

Tina Rinehart should be on this list too! 345 @ 123. Now THAT is "pound for pound" the best

I DON'T KNOW LISA MILLER JUST STARTED LIFTING IN LATE 2005 AND HAS ALL READY TOOK 3 FEDS OUT AAPF~AWBC~WABDL I GUESS THAT IS BETTER THEN 1 FED! SHE ALSO TOOK OVERALL LIFTER AT BA3! BUT, I DONT SEE HER UP THERE. *SINGLE PLY* *DRUG TESTED FEDS*

Testosterone Nation - Janet Faraone Deadlifts 275x10!

This women is all over the testosterone web pages I wonder why?? jusat punch her name up!

Lisa Miller started lifting long before "Late 2005". LOL

Lisa Millers first meet was in 2005. She did some raw meets at SLP in 2003-2004 Yes, she started using a shirt in 2005. So she started benching 275lb in 2005 and now holds the AWBC-AAPF-WABDL WORLD RECORDS WITH A 418LB BENCH. I would say that was some great lifting for 1 year. There was a news paper article on her.

Remember she never used shirts before 2005 so, you can see why her bench increased as she learned the forms and the shirt. It was a very interesting article.

She wasn't a old lifter with a massive increased bench in 1 year.

Why is Shannon-pole-summers even on there? She did 1 meet all year? How is that even a lifter of the year?

Jennifer Thompson just had a baby how many meets did she do this year? Aren't we talking all around best benching threw the year?

What is lifter of the year? Accomplishments threw the year? Or do you consider 1 meet 1 bench is qualifications for lifter of the year???

You must be friends with summers?

It really dont matter all the women up there are all good benchers in there fed, they shouldn't even be judged, different feds, different gear, different rules, tested non-tested!

"jusat" punch any of their names in and they show up on those sites. Who really cares ?

Pole-Summers was by virtue of that single meet and taking the, at that time, all-time bench record.

Jennifer Thompson may have just had a baby but succeeded in achieving the best raw bench by a female all year and arguably of all-time. Additionally, she successfully competed in the USAPL and IPF.

Yes, bencher of the year looks at a lifters accomplishments throughout the year but in certain circumstances one meet would be enough for a lifter to make the list.

Thats not right! You are leaving some good lifters out. one meet and you qualify for lifter of the year BS! I see other lifters who progressed as a new comer and stormed out federations. But they are not concidered? You take out 3 feds in 1 year! State-National-and World records and you dont qualify for lifter of the year? What is this world coming to?

As with an poll of this sort some very good and very deserving lifters will be left out. That doesn't mean they weren't considered.

#1 cieri was put in for 1 bench(525 in 100% raw not the usapl).

#2 this is not a babymaking contest. she did put up an amazing raw bench(she deserves it)

#3 who gives a sh^t where you find peoples names.
did you test her for steroids and did she pop positive? no, then dont assume anything. there are more drug free people competing in non tested feds than you think.

Cieri was also second in the IPF Bench Press Worlds and first in both USAPL Bench Press Nationals.

567(nationals) and 579(worlds). nice but are they worthy of bencher of the year? not saying he didnt have a good year, but not even close to being bencher of the year.
