Konstantin Konstantinovs of Latvia pulled 947 pounds at the Latvian Nationals to break his own record in the 275 pound weight class of 906 pounds.

Not fair - he's wearing compression/recoil socks! Just kidding! That's an awesome lift - especially since it appears with his build of long legs. I'm surprised his glasses didn't pop off!

He's now one of a handful of guys going for that 1,000 pounds deadlift, but he's the lightest of all. Andy Bolton and Benedikt Magnusson have 971 and 970 deadlifts but in the supers.

Kosti is a friend of mine, who is a freak of nature. He can also run the 100 meters in 11-flat. He's a funny guy, but i wouldn't want to piss him off. His favorite funny comment to his friends is "I will punch you in the liver", said in deadpan style. Glad he never means it...
