Video of Dave Hoff's Ironman

Below is video of 22-year-old Dave Hoff (275) totaling 2,685 pounds on Saturday at the SPF Ironman Classic in East Ridge, Tennessee. Hoff, who weighed in at 259 pounds, squatted 1,030 pounds, benched 850 and deadlifted 805 pounds.

Also included is footage of Luke Edwards (275) deadlifting 840 pounds. That moves him to first on the Lifter Rankings.

Nice lifting. I wonder where everybody's eyes focused on during the bench presses? Have to say his chest area looked a little different from the last bench I've seen from him...

Agreed!!!

But, that was a clean, darn-fine meet for Hoff. Congrats!

squat was at least 2" high. Bench looked clean and locked.Deadlift looked good.

Oh good! Dave HOff and I were worried that his lifts wouldn't meet your approval.

Super strong, very impressive lifting. Plus his tummy looks nice and flat. This should put Hoffgate behind him now.

so you see the change in the shape of his midsection as something other than a confirmation of the previous incident? or maybe my sarcasm detector is on the fritz today?

His benchpresses looked very good this time out.

Especially the final attempt, that would've passed in any federation as far as style goes.

Impeccable form.

I say this, while still thinking his squats should've been given three red lights and that he should've been suspended for previous antics with stuffing the shirt.

So Hoff shows he's one helluva benchpresser.

And also step out of his comfort zone as far as squats goes.

Then there is no telling how far this guy can go in powerlifting.

He is potentially the complete package.

Excellent work Hoff. Way to come back and make a strong statement. You need to put more weight on the bar you havent even come close to your potential yet. Rest up and come back stronger.

very impressive lifting all around.

Solid lifts, strong kid. Unfortunately the 2 board press from a while back will haunt him for quite awhile. Everytime I see his name the first thing I do is chuckle because of it and thats simply to bad because he is a very talented young man who was given some piss poor guidance by a foolish coach.

This kid is a stud. Nice lifting Dave.

Strong deadlift, beautiful bench...big total!! At 259...22?? Wow!! Keep on the good work Dave!

bench and deadlift looked good. he shouldve never gotten an attempt to do them cuz his squat so high. but oh, well, we cant judge squat depth from the front lol. oh and his bench wouldnt pass in any fed. just the big multiply circus meets.i used to enjoy powerlifting when i didnt understand how stupid it was. this is crap. the man did a good touch and go and good deadlift, but whatever..........not even worth wastin my breath over

no pause on the bench, for sure a touch and go.

Have you ever even lifted on a meet. I mean come on man! If you thought the squat was ok, you can certainly have an opinion. But to throw out he "big multiply circus" comment? If you don't like it don't watch the video, don't go to the meet. Then keep you damn mouth shout about what other people prefer to do. Its not the "big multiply circus" meets that are the problem, its little people like you who think they have the right to tear down others simple because its not what you like. Thats BS so if you don't like it keep you mouth shout!

Its called free speech, Matt. Its something we all enjoy in America - even little people. Would you prefer to censor those who disagree with you?

Well if your gonna exercise your right to free speech at least have the balls to put your name too it. Actually thats all the really bothers me I could careless what you have to say just have the guts to put your real name too it.

Wow what a day! Congrats to him.

why is the judging in multiply federations so lenient?
