Video of Tony Succarotte's Arnold

Here is video of Tony Succarotte (220) competing on Saturday at the NAPF Quest American Invitational at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. Succarotte placed fourth at 220 with a 1,763 pound total.

However, his day could have ended much differently. He opened with 402 pounds on the bench press before jumping to what would have been a new IPF World Record of 643 pounds for his second and then 650 pounds for his third. Had he made either, Succarotte would have run away with the weight class.

Ukrainian great Ivan Freydun holds the current record at 642 pounds. Succarotte holds the USAPL American record at 634 pounds.

Succarotte finished with a 744 pounds squat (good for fourth on the Lifter Rankings) and a 617 pound deadlift. He missed a third attempt deadlift of 633 pounds.

Ummm No. He didn't bombed. He made his 402 opener and missed his 2nd and 3rd attempts.

I had a blow out just watching that squat... great effort!

IS THAT SQUAT A MASTER RECORD IN 220?
