Mike Miller Calls Out Worlds Strongest Powerlifters

Mike Miller has issued a challenge to some of the worlds strongest powerlifters over at the APF Outlaws forum. The event is the Atlantic Foundation Strongman Challenge in February. The strongman contest will be raw.

Miller issues the challenge to elite athletes Gary Frank, Brian Siders, Beau Moore, Andy Bolton, Donnie Thompson, Paul Childress, Matt Smith, Brad Gillingham, Josh Bryant, Jeff Lewis, Chris Taylor and Tom Fannon.

Miller states:
A lot of people have said that “I cheat with gear”, so now I am challenging all of you to take off your gear and face me. We will see who is really the strongest Powerlifter once and for all.

ALL THEY WILL NEED TO DO IS SQUAT 600 BENCH 500 AND FAKE AN INJURY AND THEY WILL BE RIGHT WITH YA MIKE!

That was cold!!!!

Funny as hell though.

I think it would be cool to see who really was the strongest without all the gear. One of the issues many people have with powerlifting as it exists today is the gear. How can we continue to lift weights in gear and not even be close to that amount without the gear and think the sport will build credibility. Lifters are buying their trophies. Who ever has the best gear wins.

I think it would be cool,to take away the track spikes while running the track sprints. How about going back to the cain pole while fishing in the bassmaster. How about maybe using a bamboo pole while polevolting instead of fiberglass.
Its call prgression in the sport,I think you get my point.

Remember this stupid post was made in November 2005. It's not recent.

Poor little fella, must not be able to afford anything but knee wraps.Remember using knee wraps,is not raw lifting.
