That was actually Chucks 1st attempt, not 3rd.

That was actually Chuck's 2nd attempt, not 1st or 3rd. He let himself time-out on his 1st. He took 2 attempts to unrack on the 2nd and then was redlighted without an attempt, per the rules.

Clearly it was an audience member with a camera phone.

He got light-headed after that last pull, not too uncommon, and lost his balance as he stepped down off the platform.

This is clearly a fan video. BodyTechUSA was there as well as a ton of other cameras right in front of the platform, expect to see better videos soon.

I know CV was in the 242s but what weight would he be comp day?

And by highlights you mean blooper reel. lol

Putt Houston.... now with Ridiculous BCWW

How sick was that venue. Looked like a professioanl stage production... dark as hell with all the spotlights on the lifter.

worship that....

I keep watching it...lol I love that lack of concern in the room after he plummets face first off the platform. Nobody's moving fast or showing any sense of urgency. Nobody scrambling out of their chairs. People on the platform weren't even jumping to his aid with any kind of speed. I can't see the right side real good though either.

Great video btw....

And you're judging this based on 2 seconds of video shot about 50 yards away, with the fall barely even in the frame? Since I was standing 2 feet in front of Matt when he went down, I can tell you there were at least 10 people at his side within seconds, including 2 medical professionals.

Can anybody tell me why Pegg's bench was 230?

token bench, he's missing like half of his arm

did not know that. thanks

From EFS bio:

Jason Pegg
SGT Jason Pegg was stationed with the 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne division of the United States Army in Fort Bragg, NC. On his third deployment to a combat theatre in 2005, in western Afghanistan, he sustained a serious arm injury from an IED (roadside bomb). As a result, he spent 18 months at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, including three months as an inpatient. Two and a half years after not being able to squat 315 pounds with a safety squat bar, Jason has squatted 900 pounds, deadlifted 700+, and has a PR of 565 in the bench.

Yes I think I referenced I can't see the right side of the platorm clearly and the video was only a couple seconds.

...and it was in a dark room from 50 ft awy

correct.

point is, in human nature there will always be a majority of people who don't rise to the occasion with any sense of urgency as noted by the lack of immediate response seen on the video.

I'm any where near him... I'm cathcing him breaking his fall for sure. That's just how true players roll....

What you gonna do brother??? when Vogelmania run's wild on you.??? lol

His bench just plain sucks.
