The gym I train at is not up there! Celli's fitness center.
We had the following
Ryan Celli totaling 1807 at the raw Unity meet
Natty Freed totaling 666 at 114 at the RUM
Natty then totaled 777 at a USAPL, then went onto to win the junior class and place 2nd in the open 114 class at the USAPL raw nationals
We had another member win his class at the USPF nationals (Masters)
We also had a great showing at the IPA Senior nationals, with 4 guys winning their division and 1 guy placing 2nd in a very tough 308 class.
that deserves some mentioning

Sorry SteveB, but your gym may be a great one but i and a lot of people don't know this gym. Make some publicity and maybe next year...who knows!!?

are you kidding me you have ryan celli up for nomination but then claim you dont know his gym. prob the best gym on the planet.

Well, since Wild Iron Gym isn't on the list, I'll have to go SuperTraining.
They're all fun and oh-so-helpful!

Tough call. This got me thinking about other PL awards.

We should have awards for random things like most brutal online slaying; biggest 'bag; biggest gear whore; weakest sponsored lifter; dumbest pler; pler most likely to take up g4p; and hottest significant other.

Got to mention my gym. Zenzen barbell for next years award. We beat Frantz at the APF IL State meet. For those unaware, heres some of our lifters:
Matt Minuth(220): 900 lb bench in training. barely missing it at lockout at WPCs
Eric Lilliebridge(275): top male teen lifter in the world, 800 lb deadlift
Corey akers(220/242): just came back after a hiatus and is squatting 900+ in just a brief
Matt Mulhearn (181): going for 600 on the bench this year
Ernie Lillibridge Sr: 800 lb deadlift, 900 lb squat in single ply

thats it for the moment, were getting 3 new 600 lb benchers this year

Just had to throw us out there.

gorilla pit for the win!

Didn't Gorilla Pit just open up this fall?? It hasn't even been open for 4 months.

The sense of community and dedication that fosters serious hard work is Gorilla Pit's selling point. They haven't been open long, but already heads are turning.

I'm from the east but my vote goes for the guys from the west... ST !

thank you rick hope to recover quickly see you soon

Hate to hijack this thread (Gorilla Pit) but...

Mentor/Cleveland Ohio area powerlifters are wanted to train with an ESTABLISHED Pro and Elite lifting crew at Titans Gym in Mentor. We've been here for years and we're not going anywhere. All of OUR OWN competition equipment (bars, mono, bench, ghr etc.) and Ivanko plates for powerlifters only.

2 2200+ totals (1 pro)
2 700+ lbs deadlifts
2 600+ lbs benches
1 900+ lbs squat
2 800+ lbs squats

Evilxxx - Greetings. Just wanted to let you know you are 'mander approved. Soar on my evil friend.

ST is a cool place sporting three bona fide 'mander approved lifters. Savage; brutal; epic ... All words to describe ST.

Team Samson should have more votes. Driggers, Smith, and Carroll have consistently been at the top.

Speaking of Carroll:

Absurd level of J ... Check
Figure Dime ... Check
Celebrity Status ... Check
Stud Status ... Check

The man has it all. Think Alexander II of Macedon, but greater, and with a finer dime piece.

'Mander approved.

+1 on the sense of community and team at Gorilla Pit. It's pretty impressive to see the owner take time to show a newbie proper squat form, or to help them heft a stone for the first time. The Pit has more than one team, and allows anyone access to the high-dollar equipment. The owner even let some high school kids borrow his belt.

I do seem to meet a lot of former Titans members there, too.

Yea, kind of surprised to NOT see Zenzen Barbell on the chart. Not to blow our own horn , but we have won ( as a team ) every compitition we have entered in the last 2 yrs.+ , have held the team of the year award for last 3 yrs, teen lifter of the year for last 5 yrs.,and hold MANY state , national , and World Records , across the board in the APF , AAPF , AWPC, WPC , UPA , etc. Dick Zenzen has worked his butt off creating a great team ! For thoes that dont know us, see you on the platform in 2010 ! Good luck and god bless.
