A very good choice, but a number of the other lifters had higher Wilks.

EVERYONE needs to vote for Taylar Stallings. That is all. ...as you were.

Why? Stella totaled more than 100lbs. higher at the same weight.

Even though I am on this list it is obvious that Jennifer Thompson at 132 lbs BW is the clear winner with Sioux-z Hartwig at 114 lbs BW a close second. This is clearly going to be a popularity poll and not a factual one based on Wilks or any other numbers or formulas. I am just proud to even be considered in such a talented group of strong women!

Of course, this has some aspect of popularity. PLW knows who had the highest Wilks, etc. but we the lifters also take into consideration who we feel works incredibly hard and remains humble throughout all of their triumphs.

Becky Rich is my training partner. I am with her four days per week. I know how hard she trains, I see how dedicated she is to lifting truly raw (e.g., no knee sleeves), I see how she respects the fact that I lift in single ply gear. Further, she can laugh and put up with my sense of humor. She has my vote. I don't know her Wilks in comparison to yours or anyone else on this list. What I do know is Becky. Nothing personal against the others as everyone on this list is already a winner.

Lastly, I also know Becky didn't make any posts on her FB (like someone else did) asking people to vote for her.

Congratulations to all those on the list. Happy Holidays...

Yes Suzanne I did-like I said it's a popularity contest and if I feel like asking my "friends" to vote for me I can.
Just like you are entitled to vote for your "friend' and training partner Becky so too are my "friends" allowed to vote for me only if they feel I deserve it-not because I posted it on my FB page. In case you didn't notice I mentioned on my FB page that it is a "stretch" as I myself feel that Jennifer deserves it and not me. I happen to know Jennifer really well and she is just as dedicated as Becky and every other woman on this list. Sioux-z happens to be one of my dearest friends as is her husband Matt who is my coach and she is pound for pound the strongest lady I know Raw and geared.
Do you really think this is worth getting into a pissing match about?

Hmm. Does feel a little bit like Jr High student council voting, but I still appreciate all the support! I'm not the best lifter on that list by far, but I'll keep working on it...

And Suzanne just HAD to say that about the knee sleeves JUST as I was thinking about using them at RUM!

Oh geez, the last thing I want is a pissing match with anyone. It's too bad you took my last paragraph so sensitively.

Like I said before, everyone on the list is a winner...including you.

I just didn't appreciate being "called out" for posting on my FB page. If you had an issue with that you could have said something to me on FB instead of on PLW. When you said "Lastly, I also know Becky didn't make any posts on her FB (like someone else did) asking people to vote for her" I thought that was in poor taste and kind of like a "na na na na na". But then this is a public forum and people can and will say what they want-I just never expected you (who are my FB friend) to make a comment like you did here.
Defending Becky who a-didn't need to be defended since no one was attacking her and b-who deserves to be on this list as do others who didn't make the list was uncalled for. I am familiar with Becky's achievements as is she with mine. Based on her post here on this thread and other cooments she has made in the past I think she has proven to be pretty humble and gracious. If Becky needed to defend herself she would do it herself-she's a pretty tough chick-she did play rugby after all....

Thompson beat her by well over 100lbs. Beat her in every single event and did it head to head. Wearing no knee sleeves. Hard to believe thats not the raw lifter of the year.

This is not "Really" the Female Powerlifter of the Year. Just who people would vote for. Popularity vote only. Records speak for themselves. Just look up who really is Female powerlifter of the year in the "ranking" section.
Pound for pound is listed.

I know everyone has their favorite lifters, but I wonder why Katherine Clark isn't on the list. She finished 2d at the Arnold Sports Festival with Wilks higher than some on the list, she set 4 American records at that meet - a pretty impressive showing on a big stage.

Ken

Saw Kat at the Arnold--that last deadlift to snatch the silver away from some seriously strong and well known lady lifters was nothing short of inspiring. Having occasion to train with her and some of Washington state's top lifters, I can unequivocably tell you no one trains harder and more insane---I love insane!
If you ain't pukin' yer only pretending !!

If you are talking about Raw Nationals then Becky didn't use knee sleeves either... And knee sleeves add little to no support anyway. Also if you saw the meet at all it's a miracle Jen had a single squat attempt passed, friendly judging if you ask me.

Also I do know that Jen holds the alltime raw bench record at 132over 2x BW but Becky also did break a USPF world bench record at 123, a single ply record she broke lifting raw.

Now I'm not saying that Becky is stronger than Jen, but there is definitely a strong case to vote for Becky.

I can see giving Becky most improved Raw Female Powerlifter of the year having added pounds to her squat and bench but Jen still beats her hands down on all 3 lifts. Jen had reconstructive surgery on her knee otherwise she wouldn't have worn knee sleeves at all.
Again this is going to be a popularity contest. Each of the entrees all have valid qualifications for the title which is how they got on the list to begin with. I think all the ladies truly like, admire and respect each other and wouldn't care if someone other than themselves won-that is the mark of a true champion. Sorry guys, if you're expecting a cat fight you ain't gonna get it here!

I don't think anyone really has to be defending any of the lifters here or asking everyone to vote for someone. I think it's cool to be on the list when I've only done one bench meet and one full power meet. I don't expect to win a vote like this or many people to know me, and it really doesn't matter anyway. Obviously everyone on all of these lifts are on them for doing something well above average, and a lot of the performances I don't think can really be compared as who is better or not. Formulas are only based on past competition results to compare weight classes and even these other rankings are biased towards different organizations and weight classes no matter how well the lifter actually preformed the lifts. There is something to be said for the highest lifts ever done as well as something to be said for the highest lifts done at lighter bodyweights.

Well said April-my point exactly-see you at RUM! You are one of the ladies on this list that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting so it will be nice to finally meet you next month.
