will he post a log on the gometal.com forum? That should receive a lot of hits and interest.

Will be interesting to see if Belyaev can dominate multiply like he did singleply. It seems a few lifters have been successful going from multiply to singleply, but the learning curve for multiply seems to be higher.

He will be good, very good. He is strong and strength doesn't just favor one avenue. When you're strong, you're strong.....

With his experience there shouldn't be too much of a learning curve. He will have to tailor his training to get stronger in the areas multi-ply least creates support. That will take a little bit of time as in all things, strength isn't developed overnight.

The 220lb class is a good one for him. He won't be as dominat as all the single-ply lifters lead to believe though. Some great competitors will see him face to face. The sooner people realize this the quicker we can get to being realistic, supportive and from what I have read: perhaps more respectful towards his competitors. I wonder why soo much loyalty has developed towards one lifter that many feel entitled to discredit and disrespect another.

He'll be wearing some great gear though, ;-).
Good luck.

He may just suprise on how quickly his squat goes up.He does not walk squats out comfortably and will probably be weighing 8 to 15 lbs. over the 220 limit with a 24 hour weigh in.Gas him up,put on longer wraps, briefs, squat a bit higher, widen the stance and he is good to go.
Will be good to make a comparison once and for all.

Al, this statement is every bit as ridiculous as the single ply liftes who were saying belyaev would blow frankl out of the water in his first outing in multiply. the truth is that they didn't know when they spoke and you don't know now. kutcher and yarmbash both ended up destroying their competition in multiply shortly after making the switch. belyaev may very well do the same, only time will tell. let's just all hope that belyeav and frankl put on a good show for a while and keep us all entertained.

The 165 and 275lbs weight classes also did not have a lifter so much above everyone (like is the case with the 198-220 and Frankl).

He's been gassed up for a long time, thats why he left/got booted from the IPF. Did you miss that?

I see him going 1350 970 1008 once he figures out gear! Frankl better watch out when Belaev totals 3200!!!!!
