Why is there only a choice of US lifters? I do recall a 198lbs Irish man benching a massive 580lbs bench.

What other performances should be listed?

An Irishman with a 580 bench press is not better than Burdette's 661 at 220.

Go Mark - great bench!

well how are you compiling this list if it consists of mens squats & benches, womens squats & benches, 1 total and no deadlifts?

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for the people that are up there. i witnessed Lance's squat and total first hand and it was a piece of history with the WPF.

James Burdette pound for pound James is the best lifter out there. Ass far a there only being US lifters names they were the best.I liked the Irish lifter also but he didnt even make a 600lb bench. And what he did was a great lift, better then i can do but it was not 600 or better. Good job Preist

Priest is the best!

Before I place my all important vote what was Freel's total?

Suggestions?

For those who were there: What was the meet like in terms of ticket sales, crowd, tempo between groups, warm up area and other things?

Always nice to hear about stuff like that.

crowd tempo for Burdette was crazey people went nuts when he made his lift.

Warmup area was great with plenty of equipment. I was in one of the bigger flights of 15. We were all 220/242 so with the 3 squat racks/benches it was easy to get the warmups in without feeling rushed or pressured. I really appreciated the wrapping area. It was big with plenty of chairs. You didn't have to fight for a seat and you were not bumping into the guy next to you. The crowd seemed decent but you would always like more. It ran really smooth b/w groups, the transition was great. The only thing that was tough was ending so late on the second day. I was the first of 3 flights in the second session and my last pull was around 0010. I couldnlt stick around but I bet the last pull was around 0130. There might not have been anyhting that could have been done about that and it was only a minor inconveniance. I would definetly trade that minor inconveniance for all the positives. It was a very lifter friendly venue and extremely well run.

Unfortunately no results are posted so I might speaking out my ass but I thought Scott Layman put up a pretty impressive total @ 148. I think he squatted over 600.

Did priest win best lifter award in bench??

How about junior Pall Logason?

wait for the results to come out with the overall wilks totals. You might find you still have a lot of the same people but more too

my suggestion would be the WBC

I agree. Logason did 881 in the squats and over 780 in deadlift. Can't remember the bench but I think his total was around 2300. He should be on that list if you ask me.

Unfortunately, without numbers it makes adding anyone difficult. The only reason Liz Freel is on the list without numbers is because she won best lifter, which Logason didn't do.

No, Sigmus won it for benching 2x his bodyweight. Priest would have made 688-692, but told me he had the meet won, so he was going to go for the number he wanted. The number he wanted was 705.

Priest has done over 3x bodyweight in 3 different weight classes. I think that is an elite group of 4 people that have ever done it.

Liz Freel put up some great numbers. I just do not know what they were.

Pall logason is a junior lifter. This has been repeated many times.

Not 100% right, Logason did win best junior lifter.

I would like to here more about the WBC. Preist is the best lifter but he realy let me down when it came to the WBC. He was eating like a little sissy.I will say that he didnt throw in the towel like so many others did. But he stil let sme people down i lost two bucks over him not eating like a real benchpress champion should.Next time if we are lucky Chris Pappillion or Mark Bell will be there and they can show you how a real champion eats.Evryone at the WPF was commenting on how big there guts have gotten and that they could hold alot of food and that they were a sure win if they were enter the WBC. Oh well we have to wait until next time to bad.

Not 100% right, Logason did win best junior lifter.

Open best lifter is the best of the best. Junior best lifter is best of the juniors. Without numbers, it is impossible to determine if he belongs on the list.

I squatted 400kg, benched 280kg and deadlifted 355kg. 1035kg total in -140kg junior.

best regards,
Páll Logason

Logason you were impressive and whether or not you are on the list, you have my vote. I look forward to you hitting huge(er) numbers in years to come.

Oh and for those not in attendance, Logason was well into the 700's in deadlift BEFORE he even put on the deadlift suit.

Thank you very much. But Just to clarify, I pulled 782 raw, then I missed 815 in a deadlift suit.

His lifts were nasty he will be hitting huge numbers in times to come.

Lance Karabels 1003 squat was sick!!!!!!
Best performance of Worlds.

are the full results out there i cant seem to find them ??

James had a 2,000 Ibs total at 198 in 2009. James does both bench only events and three lift events. James is an all around great lifter. it does not matter if the event is flat footed (bench) or on toes he can compete and compete well. He is coming back i believe in 2010 to break his 2,000 ibs record. Good luck priest ( i know your finger is perm fused together (you should sue the hospital). ---Side note. Congratulations on State Chair.

Thank you. I will compete as soon as
I can. I cant wait to run the first meet.
