Top Canadians in Action This Weekend

A number of the CPU's top lifters will be in action on Saturday at the Eastern Canadian Championships in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Headlining the roster of lifters is the man with the highest Wilks (563.1) in CPU history, Greg Doucette (198). Doucette holds the CPU National Records at 181 and 198 in both the bench press and total. Doucette will go in both the powerlifting and bench press portions of the meet.

Also scheduled to lift are reigning national champions Heather Ayles (132), John MacDonald (275) and Alex Mardell (shw). Each won their national title a weight class down from where they plan to compete on Saturday.
Mardell holds the CPU National Record squat, bench press and total at 275. Last weekend, he narrowly missing a new Canadian Record 706 pound bench press.
Ayles owns the CPU National Records in the squat and bench press at 123 and the squat at 132.
