100% RAW Single Lift Worlds Results

In addition to the performance of Anna McCloskey, a number of other top performances took place at the 100% RAW Single Lift World Championships which took place November 7-8 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Highlighting the bench press competition was the effort of federation President Paul Bossi. Bossi (242) pressed 501 pounds. That press is good for fourth on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings.

• Aaron Johnson (198) - 435 (7th)
• Michelle Carlsen (shw) - 214 (6th)
• Jermaine Jones (275) - 501 (16th)
• Anthony Davie (shw) - 507 (15th)

The biggest deadlift of the meet was pulled by Michael Eaton (275). Eaton's 727 pound pull puts him eighth on the Lifter Rankings.

• Nate Jones (123) - 385 (17th)
• Rob Hanners (165) - 573 (7th)
• Bruce Graser (181) - 600 (12th)

I can't believe Bruce Graser is still around. Way back in the old USPF days when they were the only game in town, he was deadlifting 755 @ 198. He's got to be in his 50's now, so 600 @ 181 is still pretty damn good.

Many thanks to Paul Bossi for a well run meet and great awards. Nice to see so many lifters competing in this economy. I think raw lifting is gaining momentum.

A 600 Lbs Deadlift at any age (RAW) @ 181 is amazing. Currently the American 55-59 181 Lb. USPF 181 55-59 record (with a suit) is under 600 Lbs, and the American USAPL Open Raw record is around 600 Lbs, but held by a young man almost half Mr. Graser's age. WELL DONE.
