Did he have that shirt altered? the flexi-back of the shirt goes all the way around and off his delt!! the actual polyester begins just at his delt. I thought rules were applied as to how equipment was allowed to be warn.

There is nothing wrong with the way that shirt is being "WARN", but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

so what is the shirt? looks unusual.
Double Ply? Brand? what up with the sleeves?

it looks like a katana.. I have one like that .. it is two toned

I have lifted with Bill a few times and learned incredible amounts from him. He will draw in huge amounts of air and bring his stomach up to the bar. He is far from fat, and is definitely not having anything illegal under his shirt.

Unless something has changed recently, it is a single ply Katana.

Bill is very humble and a class act. One of the greatest men that I've met through my profession and through the sport.

Once again, congratulations Bill on the record. That's a great lift, especially during football season when training time is limited.

It's a single ply Katana and the only thing under his shirt is technique. I'm sure he will be hitting close to 800 again soon.

well he has certainly mastered a way of wearing his shirt in an unconventional method. The tops of the sleeves do not go over his delt. thats crazy looking.

I think what most don"t understand pictures from some sides look different I have a pic from a different angle that makes his belly much smaller, and if you look at another one the sleeves are fine. he just has the chest pulled down (where it should be) maybe most 1. don't understand how to use the shirt i.e. single ply!! and 2. since I saw THREE for THREE!!! White lights, and it was a world record (And on ALL world records they RECHECK the shirt and gear) Maybe you should just say "Good lift" FOR ANY AGE!! Not just A 50 YEAR OLD.

Good Job Bill!!

I was the head judge on this lift and I can assure you the shirt was legal and nothing was under it. The lift was good from all three judges. Bill is in fact a class act and a great guy but he was made to work for and earn that lift. And he did.

Another hijacked thread that could have been about a great championships and lifters.
